-The 60's?
-The 70's?
-The 80's?
-The 90's?
-After 2000?
I personally enjoyed the 80's a lot, then it would be the 70's, the 60's, 90's and for last after 2000, the new Rolling Stones album is going to be the first Pop/Rock album recorded after 2000 that I buy!
would agree marial. the 60s helped to sahpe popular music. all the new ideas came about then.
the 60s has been re-run several times since
so i would say 60s first, 70s second
80s last!!!
It'd have to be the Sixties and Seventies.
Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Queen... all the good stuff.
Then again, I like the feel of the, in my opinion, good rock bands [that don't get the proper attention they deserve becuase of manufactured wank like] the Foo's, Muse, White Stripes etc etc
every generation gott some good music.I think 60's and 70's had some really good acts Like Beatles, stones,Queen,Deep Purple,Led Zeppelin,Cream, camel Yes,king Crimson.80's and 90's were diffrent but some great too..But later it turned out to be very week.Todays music scene is very boring i think.

I totally agree. Why can't true talented artists like Ashlee Simpson deserve more attention.

I think my sentence came across the wrong way lol.
I meant bands that are, in my opinion, good like the Foo's White Stripes, Muse etc etc have their actual hard work and success overlooked by wank like Ahslee Simpson, Lindsey Lohan, Girls Aloud, Kelly Clarkeson, Delta Goodrem and boring boring same old same old.
I can see EXACTLY where my sentence was written incorrectly. And very incorrectly written it was too.
Early and late '70's
early '70's truly great bands (Led Zep, Wishbone Ash, Purple, Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Humble Pie Queen etc ).
Load of lazy crap from '75 to the end of '78 (plus that anti establishment punk nonsense)
Late '70's I started going to concerts just as the NWOBHM hit the scene (Maiden, Saxon, Girlschool, Diamond Head, Tank etc) Oh, and Queen of course !
i like lots of japanese rock and thanks to bellydance i listen to lots of arabesque and middle eastern pop pretty much all from the nineties. Some of the japanese is late eighties...that stuff is pure gold. I also love dead or alive. yay for eighties crap.

I think the 1970's had the best music. The 1970s had the best bands. I think the 1980's had the worst music, becasue of hair metal, and nauseating dance tunes like "Everybody Have Fun Tonight". So did the early 1960's, and the 1950s.
A lot of people here mention the 70s being their favorite era for having bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Queen on top of their game.
Don't forget also that the 70s was famous for having Disco dominating the mainstream and shitty acts like the Partridge Family, David Cassidy, Captain & Tennille, Sonny & Cher, and The Carpenters.
So when you think about it, every single music era had good music, and music that sucked.
...except for the late 90s, pretty much everything sucked with no exceptions.
