This is my first torrent. I'm glad I can give something back at last. YV told me someone had requested it so here it goes. This is the original version of Let Me Live as it appears in my supposedly withdrawn Made In Heaven CD that was previously available only as an MP3 (uploaded by me, some years ago). There was another older MP3 but the source was a promo cassette from the USA, I believe. This was ripped to WAV using Nero and then encoded into FLAC with Frontend. This was just a promo copy and not available. I'm not sure if it counts as official but I've been told it doesn't. I should be seeding for a while. If I go down I'll go back up some hours later till more users have it. See ya... Wiley |

Thank you!!! Does this happen to be the same version someone posted a couple weeks ago, which they called the "alternate" version? |
Wiley 12.09.2005 10:37 |
Hehehe :). You don't have to do anything for me Adam. I didn't pay for that CD (I got it as a gift, but I did pay for another copy of MIH before that) so it costs me nothing to make it available. I've had it for some years now, at least 6 or 7 and I haven't heard of someone else having it aswell. I emailed the fan club back in 1999 and Jacky told me "hmmm, yeah, you could say it's rare, right" but didn't sound too convincing, like JSS' "nice but nothing special" now popular quote, hehe :). Then I uploaded it in MP3 (no-one believed I had it, btw) and suddenly everybody wanted a higher bitrate version. I think I uploaded a 128 and a 192 (or 256? don't remember) version of the MP3. FLAC was not known at that time (at least, not by me) and actually I could not understand why would somebody want a larger file for a song which "sounded" the same to me. Now I understand the difference and I prefer FLAC. I'm not too greedy or anything. I wish I had more material but I'm not obsessed with it (well, maybe every couple of months or so). I don't even have Houston, which I've heard it should be leaking somewhere in the near future but I'm sure this has been said before. Maybe I could have made a trade with this CD (or even the song, which some people find so interesting) but if I were going to do it, I would have done it by now, so there you go. I just want to talk about it a bit. Am I the only one who has THIS CD?? On this board, I mean. I know we don't usually discuss much about downloads, but since I uploaded this one and I've had it for some time now, I would like to hear something about it. Wiley |

Thank you! Promo songs are always great stuff. |
Wilki Amieva 12.09.2005 11:51 |
I have the withdrawn Mexican CD and the US promo cassette, both of which have that very same version. The Hollywood Records cassette is an advance listening copy of the whole album (including Track 13), so the inclusion of the original version of Let Me Live comes as no surprise. But the reason for that elusive Mexican CD having it was a mistery to me until I learned that the disc itself was manufactured by Capitol USA (the matrix number is typical from their plants: DIDP-099139). Capitol takes special requests from other labels but they need the masters with a lot of time in advance, so the one EMI sent to them still contained that version of Let Me Live. By the way, this IS official stuff!!! ;-) |
Hitman 12.09.2005 12:26 |

By the way, Wiley, I am looking for the Mexican pressing of the INNUENDO CD and also for the LIVE AT THE BOWL Mexican CD sampler by Loft Magazine. Can you get hold of these? |

thank you. I like this track and long thought this is one of Brians finst guitar licks. |
Wiley 12.09.2005 17:20 |
I used to have the Innuendo one some years ago. It has de vinyl edits, right?. For about 7 or 8 years being a Queen fan I thought Bijou lasted only for a little over one minute. Really! hehe :). I haven't seen that version of the CD recently. Just imports. The one I have at the moment I bought it as a discount but it was made in Holland. I should try to see if they have the mexican one in some other store. I'll get back to you if I see one (I mean, two, of course, hehe :)) Wiley |

Hey Thorsten! Nice to see you post once in a while. Hmmm, actually, I think that you post more than me, hehe :). Anyway, check it out, in case you haven't already. I still remember the first time I listened to that CD and was surprised to hear the different version. I was in a cousin's house in Mexico City. She's not a Queen fan or anything but she had bought the CD because Heaven for Everyone had been in one of those "NOW, that's what I call music..." collections and she liked it. I was staying at her place. In fact, I'd been there for some days already but I hadn't checked her CD's. I was playing with her computer and then wanted to listen to music. I went straight to that song, since it was my favorite at that time. Two seconds later, my jaw dropped after hearing those extra voices in the beginning. I already knew about that version but had never listened to it. It was quite a nice surprise. :) In response to Wilki's comment on that magazine, I've never seen it. I'll try to look around later and maybe I get lucky. It's not easy to get rare Queen stuff around here. There are almost NO second hand record shops. I only know about one here in Monterrey (NO, I don't have the Monterrey video either). Well, let's see if something good comes out of this. See ya, Wiley |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 12.09.2005 21:18 |

Wiley 16.09.2005 16:40 |
I just checked my CD and it has a Capitol matrix number (DIDP-088139) like Wilki said. Actually, I was kinda surprised by it having almost no writings on the CD edge. It only has "EMI Records Ltd. (c) 1995 Queen" and "7243 8 36088". The other CD I have (regular mexican edition, I believe) has lots of other things: "(p) 1995 The copyright in the sound recording is owned by Queen Productions Ltd. under exlusive license to EMI Records Ltd. (c) 1995 Queen Productions Ltd. All rights of the producer and of the owner of the work reproduced reserverd. Unauthorised copying, hiring, renting, public performance and broadcasting of this record prohibited. LC 0299. Made in Mexico. 7243 8 36088 2 9 bel BIEM", which is A LOT, hehehe :). I can't believe I wrote it all... :S Matrix no. EMI UDEN 8360882 @ 2.. Well, that's what it reads. ***Wilki: Does your copy also has a different quality of the printing ON the CD?? See ya, Wiley |
spod 16.09.2005 17:13 |
Wow !!! Many thanks for this. Nice to hear a different version of what is one of the best latter day Queen tracks. |
Wilki Amieva 17.09.2005 04:23 |
Wiley wrote: ***Wilki: Does your copy also has a different quality of the printing ON the CD??Yap, the CD has a different printing to the regular Parlophone issue - it lacks almost all of the "small print". And the back sleeve has only the number "219" below the barcode numbers. |
Wiley 17.09.2005 13:36 |
Alright then.. I can see this 219 on both editions I have. I mean, there are no other numbers below the barcode apart from the 219, yet one version is the regular one and the other is the withdrawn one. At the beginning I was trying to identify the CD from the front or back sleeve so I could search for another one but both of them look identical. :S So this "219" is in special an regular mexican editions equally, I believe. Queenrockyou 02.12.2007 13:40 |
Hemm.. I think everyone really appreciates your share, but... This was entitled "Let Me Live (original Version) - FLAC". So mp3 is somewhat not at its place here (320 K or not), maybe you could make a new topic for this file, or convert the .wav to .Flac instead (and not the .mp3 to .Flac of course), so that the Queenzoners that were waitng to find Flac here won't be unhappy to find the .mp3 ? You know mp3 and Flac are at war now... Thanks a lot! Regards, Olivier, France. |

Thanks for the re-upload, I lost 'my' version too. Thank you Wiley for uploading it in the first place! Was this on a 'regular' version of Made In Heaven or on a promo copy? I seem to remember there was an alternate version of ' I Want It All' on one of the US cd's (don't know whether Capitol or Hollywood) that had a different chorus. Does anyone still has this version? |

The 2011 Hollywood Record issue finally corrected that. I Want It All (Hollywood Records Version) 4:33 Written by Queen Appears on: The Miracle Hollywood Remaster (1991) Appearing only on the 1991 Hollywood Records remaster of The Miracle. At 1:14 into the track, the chorus that repeats the lyrics "I Want It All" is missing completely. Additionally, there are added backing vocals in the track. The first chorus has no backing vocals, lead vocal has more obvious multitracking, less prominent synth, more rhythm guitar, and lead guitar. There is no first chorus repeat. How did this mistake happen? Quite simply when Hollywood Records was remastering the album, Queen Productions provided the incorrect album master tape to Hollywood Records. The I Want It All mix that appears on the Hollywood release was added to the album master on March 15, 1989. |
