Will you both be ok during Ophelia? I'm reading the news on it and it says it's sitting idle off the coast of the Carolinas with 80 mph winds. My parents left today for Virginia Beach but if it looks like Ophelia is coming at them, they will head off somewhere else.
If you need some where to go, come up my way. I've got room for you guys. Be safe.
:)
They should be ok...
last i saw SC is not in the path--coast of NC is
if that stands they will likely get rain and some wind....
then again...err..hmmmm maybe they should forward those tickets to NJ to me..for agh,,,,hmnnn...errr
safekeeping
Thew will be fine. I got ran off of Emerald Isle, NC in 2003 by Isabel, turned out I could have stayed, though there were 80 mph winds there!!! Luckily, the Hurricane weakened, and the storm tracked about 15 miles northeast, so the storm surge was zero...
They made us evacuate Wednesday morning, we left at 4:00am. Got video from that morning, even then, the winds were pretty wicked.
The drive across North Carolina to Tennesee from the coast is LOOOOOOOONNNNNGGG....

I survived Hugo, as well..;-) The eye went over our house, 100 mph winds...scary stuff..
I think the most we will get from this hurricane is a breezy day, but I was keeping a close eye on it this weekend.
