Since QP hasn't and probably won't be releasing a Queen boxset, I think that we fans should make one of our own. Has any here heard of the fan-made 21-disc multimedia Syd Barrett collection called "Have You Got It Yet?" I was thinking that we could make something like that. It wouldn't have to be so large,we could start with just a few discs of rareities. This could include rare demos, interviews, alternate mixes of songs (were any of the LPs first released as mono? If so, a mono LP ripped version of those songs would be good to include), rare video footage, etc. This would be a very big project, but I think it would also be worth it and a lot of fun to do. To complete this will take more than just one person, we will need people who can recommend content, people who can share content, people who can make artwork, and people who can help with distribution (FTP, Hub, Mail Trade) I would also like to hear from people that would be interested in getting this, even if they can't help with the production. People that have ideas, are interested, or are willing to help can email me (wyldstallynsrock@cox.net), PM at the Hub (Ms.Farenheit) or reply here. |

Actually I'm running a similar project for personal use. It's turning out very interesting. V. |

From curiousity, what are you including in yours? |

This sounds like a very spiffy idea. The true Unobtainable Royal Collection. I can contribute a few demos and stuff. |

But anyways Mrs. F come on do you think that will ever EVER happen it is a great idea but fucking Queen fans can be quite selfish at points (ex: Look at Houston, or Demos, or Flac Concerts). And for what to get some fucking useless concerts in return. Thier is NO Point at all in owning concerts. Noone has to hear Seven Seas of Rhye 516 fuckin times or We Will Rock 1,000 live, it is childish. Especially, Houston I am getting so sick of "Requests" and "Fake Announces". I wish someone could give me a good reason for concerts, for what, to hear Freddie saying "All right now... we are going to play a little number for you". link Look at this site all QZoners (not all of you I dont want a bunch of tit attacks now) and look in horror. What is it you may ask, Beatles fans with all the Beatles Demos sharing. You may say fuck the Beatles who cares about them. But I am saying look at the fact of them giving. Mrs. F, let me let you in on a secret in Qzone this is a "Every (wo)man for himself" thing. But if want ideas look at my history and you will find a MAKE YOUR OWN collections which fucked up anyway because apparently all everyone replies to is "Is Freddie Gay" and "Who loves Pu-Tang?" with great geninue posts. Dont feel bad though I just wanted to let you know what you would like to know. If you really interested though I can help you with some projects though mail later but quickly because I am fading out of QZone and Bootleg Circuit REALLY fast and I currently on my road to getting a life. PS Sorry for Grammar and Block error but I am tired. Hopefully some can decipher. |

There's fan-made box-set, but it's about the musical - WWRY-Russia. About dozen of DVDs and CDs with different stuff about this musical and Brian/Roger's days in Moscow. |

Thank you to everyone that replied. Mercuryworks-- I would love to arrange a trade or something to get some of your Brian May rare tracks since I would like to include a little of that in the set. Please email me privately. I have been thinking a lot about the set and what to put on it. My idea is that it will be a studio collection, but maybe include a few live versions of songs that were rarely performed. Not being an archivist, I really don't know what material exists. I welcome imput from anyone who can tell me some of the really rare things that I should look for (even if they can't provide them) and also tell me what material is fake. I would really like to get (through trades, etc.) some material that is not readily available in the hub or thru bittorents. Anyone that has such material and is willing to help should email me privately (wyldstallynsrock@cox.net). Most of the material that is currently circulating is in lossy MP3 form, I would really like to get the highest quality possible for this set, so if anyone has true lossless versions (not MP3 files converted to WAV) that they could share, it would be really brilliant. 1 disc Audio Interview (Should interviews about QPR be included?) 1 disc covers, collaborations, fans singing Queen songs 1 disc BBC Sessions (I want the complete BBC Sessions, so maybe it will take more than one disc?) 1 disc Pre-Queen 1 disc Brian May solo rareties 1 disc Roger Taylor solo + the Cross rareties 1 VCD video adverts, video interviews, etc. 1 VCD "making of" videos 1 Picture disc (rare and interesting photos of the band) All available Demos, Outtakes, Alternate Mixes, etc. I am always very interested to hear what other people think of the content and what they would like to see added/taken off. Please remember that I am making this as a collection for the whole Queen fan community and will share it through the hub and mail distribution once it is complete. Finally, this set NEEDS a name. Creative things like that really aren't in my skillset. Please post all name ideas here. |

1: Use the search button (Top right hand of page). 2: Search Words: "Ultimate Collection" 3: Username: John S. Stuart I think that you will find that such a project is far bigger than you may imagine. Inu: You know that he 1991 remixes are officially available. Perhaps this sort of info is better kept to private e-mails? |

I have a good name for the collection. Simply, "Queen Lives!" And it does, as long as their music is being played. I'll be more than happy to freely donate my files to you. Namely, this oughta get others in the giving mood. Which means, NO ONE WILL PROFIT FROM YOUR DONATIONS OF MATERIAL! This will not be sold, this will not make the recordings any less "rare," and you will look that much better in the eyes of the community! Geez. Edit: And in case that link is down, I can also pass a lossy version of the 1989 Mike Reid interview. I'll see what else I've got on my Queen DVDs that'll help. I think I got some interviews regarding Wembley '86 and On Fire... |

It should be, but there are still people in the world outside of North America that don't know about or don't know much about the 1991 remixes. |

*bump* This needs to have more contributors, especially people with good quality demos of sessions other than The Miracle. |
