My favourite band is Queen, but i look at the U2 baord and my favourite band is not U2 so it seems more than possible that people would post here who have a favourite band other than Queen. If so what is your favourite band? For me AC/DC and U2 are very close to Queen on my favourite band lists and they would be followed by Oasis, Led Zeppelin, Guns 'N' Roses, The Clash and The Who. I guess i'm just trying to figure out what other music Queen fans like |
maxpower 03.09.2005 08:21 |

I guess Pink Floyd and Queen are both my favorite bands equally. They're so different so it's like choosing between apples and oranges and I can't pick one...they're both the best at what they did.... |

Wowww!!! The more I listen to other bands or singers , the more I like Queen. After listening to other groups and then going back to Queen's music, it's very much like going back home. They are so creative, so varied, I simply do not get tired of listening to them. Yet I do also like the paths other musicias have taken , such as: Steve Vai (I adore electric guitar) Rush David Bowie Paco de Lucìa Tori Amos Suzanne Vega Aimee Mann Loreena McKennitt El Ultimo de la Fila Flamenco music Reggae Death Can Dance (interesting fusions) and, well, anything which comes to my heart. |

I would venture to say that I Love U2 as much as Queen and always have..just different types of music. But I respect BOTH bands' songwriting, musicianship, longevity..and certainly frontman's/lead singer's (Freddie, Bono)vocal talents and live stage showmanship and commanding precense/charisma. |
Lymi 03.09.2005 14:36 |
Mines: 1. Queen 2. U2 3. Depeche Mode 4. Rammstein 5. Ultravox 6. Genesis |

Lay off of Bono...he was in rock n' roll way before he started rallying in politics. I hate that so many people think he's less of a musician just because he voices his opinions. Music doesn't necessarily mean shutting up and just making music, and I for one am proud that he doesn't just sit back and let what's happening in the world pass him by just because he's rich enough to ignore other peoples' problems. |
