Does anyone else here get REALLY, REALLY bad seasonal allergies? Because I'm miserable from mid-late August until early October every year. It seriously sucks, especially at school. I don't blow my nose, because it sounds like an elephant, and I don't want to disrupt my class (and probably the adjacent classrooms). So I'm stuck having to swallow all the mucous, and then I get really nauseus! Also, I want to gouge my eyes out with a fork (at least the conjuntivitis is gone). THEN, I can't stand when I'm trying to sleep, and one nostril is stuffed up, but the other one is clear! It drives me CRAAAAZY!!! To make it even worse, when my nostrils are both completely clogged up to the point where I can't breathe through my nose, my throat gets really dry because I have to breathe through my mouth!
...That was my big rant on allergies. *stupid cottonwood and pollen*
I'm allergic to pollen of (Japanese)cedar and I have some symptoms from Feburary to April every year, especially during March I sneeze very often, I always have a runny or stuffy nose...aaand my eyes itch badly, hmm...so irritating. I can't breathe through my nose, either especially during the night, so I cannot help breathing through my mouth, which makes me very thirsty. I need to put on a mask while going outside. During that season, I can't concentrate on anything that much.
I get them from time to time but very mild. I sneeze quite a bit but it's easy enough to blow out, and I sometimes get the itchy eyes but I found some really good drops that fix that.
One year I did get it really bad and it was most unpleasant.
BIG TIME!
On a related note, Why on EARTH do they sell allergy pills that give you side-effects that are similar to the allergies themselves? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose?
Yes, It sure does.
I'm allergic to artificial colours in drinks and stuff like red and blue colours in drinks like cherryade and stuff like that it makes me come out in a rash!! :0( Anyway who'd wanna drink muck [as my mum calls it] like cherryade anyway!?
I suffer from hay fever from time to time... I know what you feel Pepper, it can be very frustrating. But I'm glad I have good medicines to keep it under control.

Hawaiin Punch red... actually any red that isn't transparent... if I can't see through the red and it's artificial, I drink it, and I throw up, always!
I get pretty bad allergies, too. I remember a long time ago I couldn't swallow pills but the allergies were killing me so I chewed up some capsuls. It hurt my tongue like crazy (and not to mention tasted HORRIBLE), and then part of my tongue stayed white for a couple of days. I hope I never resort to chewing a pill again..gah.
Anyhow, I'm pretty lucky that my allergies only last me about two weeks or so...well, at a time.
I have developped a bad sun flower oil allergy a few years ago. I also did a test a few years ago, and it said I was allergic to dust (my skin is very soft as well so I have bad reactions) and feathers. Not very bad though... I could add intensive smoke...
Anyways, I'm also allergic to wankers who try to get between me and my loved ones and I and hurt me through them...

My hay fever is over now, thank God but this year was worse than I've been for a while - but then it's a family failing of ours to sneeze for no particular reason, and bizarrely most often when we're eating!
Certain dogs make me sneeze, make my eyes itch and sometimes given me nettle-rash if I they brush against me, short-haired cats make me sneeze and my eyes itch, long-hair cats (I recently discovered) just stop me breathing!
I'm not sure if it has anything to do with alleriges, but I've been getting bloody noses more recently, now. I used to get them all the time before, but then there was a long period of time that I haven't..and now all of the sudden I'm getting them again, so I think that it must have to do with the change of climate.
