My son Daniel got his GCSE results last thursday. I'm still coming down to earth after finding out he passed ALL TEN subjects....
He's now signed up for sixth form A-Levels in - Maths, Accounts, IT and Business Studies
....one extremely proud dad!!!! - who just can't wipe the grin off his face....
Don't let him mistake your proudness for surprise...I've never forgiven my mother for openly admitting how surprised she was when I passed all of my five school certificate subjects :-)
BTW, I wouldn't want anyone to think that I only did five because I'm dumb (since Brenski's son did 10 subjects). That's how it works here, or it did back then anyway. So there.
Especially as I was secretly expecting the worse.
Strange as I am normally an optimist, but when it is out of your own control the mind plays funny games ;)
Best of luck to your son Brenski!
I am not a proud parent but I am a proud Uncle. My nephew starts his BA(Hons) in music at the Academy of Music this month.
He better do well and become a famous jazz/rock drummer because my brother and I plan on blackmailing him to finance our retirements ;-)
cheers Melissa
