if Queen + Paul Rodgers are going to release an Album, I guarantee you that it will BOMB. Nobody wants to hear Brian May, Roger Taylor + Paul Rodgers without Freddie Mercury in it. I think fans would rather buy REAL Queen albums than the new Queen. |

Yes as Fenderek said, Freddie is dead, and so is Queen. This so called Q+PR group may and probably will have an excellect new album. Is it Queen? No. If you want Queen, buy the Wembley DVD. It is excellent. |

Thanks for the link, nymon4. I know it's really wrong to download an album before it's released, but I'm still going to buy it either way when it comes out 'cos it will make a nice addition to my CD collection, cos it's friggin QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS! (Am I the only Canadian here who actually likes the combination of Q+PR??) ED: SWEET! t.A.T.u.'s new album is there too! Thank you again!!! |

Im Canadian and I will be buying the Cd when it comes out. I would love to see them in concert. Who knows maybe they will tour in Canada next year. |

Canada is Paul Rodgers' home! They did say they were going to tour North America in Spring 2006 for sure, so I'm positively sure they wouldn't skip Canada! Whether they come and play Edmonton is another question. I'm going to set some money aside for a possible trip out of province if I have to. Also, so far, I've got the first 4 tracks downloaded, and I can say IT ROCKS!! I think it sounds better than the samples Rien posted from the promo CD-Single! |

Where in Canada is Paul Rodgers from? |

I had an idea while I was listening to the new t.A.T.u. and Q+PR albums (or part of Q+PR - ROTC anyways). What would you guys say to the idea of me doing advanced reviews of these albums for YouthOne.com? I think it would build some interest among the youth in Edmonton, so why not? |
Penetration_Guru 31.08.2005 16:42 |
I think the youth of Edmonton have enough to put up with, what with OCD or whatever being misdiagnosed amongst idiot children... |
inu-liger 01.09.2005 00:58 |
OCD?! What the hell is that?? And shut the fuck up about "idiot children". I know you're taking a stab at me, because of my having allegedly "playing the Autism cards" over the past few years as you claim, but that's going too far with what you said. And FYI, I have Asperger's Syndrome, NOT Autism! |

I think fans would rather buy REAL Queen albums than the new Queen.Don't get me wrong, I love Queen .. meaning Queen + Freddie Mercury and I do agree with SomebodyWhoLoves. If Queen were to release an album without Freddie Mercury I guarantee you that it will BOMB in the USA. I would put money down on that one. It's different here in the States. Most people here don't know what real music is. All you hear is rap/pop music and not enough Queen/Rock music. They won't even tour the US, because Paul Rogers is dull compared to Freddie, especially singing Queen songs. It's not because Freddie is my favorite member, even if Brian or Roger were my favorite I still wouldn't see them live or buy their album without Freddie Mercury. Don't you just want to cry when you hear Paul Rogers singing a Queen song and not Freddie? They were playing some of the live album this morning on Howard Stern and he even ripped on Rogers. He said seeing Rogers get back together with Free or Bad Company would be right, not Queen. He had all good things to say about Freddie, but not Paul and I knew he would too. I said what I said, bad mouth me all you want about not being a real/true Queen fan because I won't be coming back to this bullshit Forum. I'm just a fan of the old (classic) Queen. |

Till there's a link and a link I think we all have to try and get along well in this "bulshit forum", like you say. I have no doubt that this is the best QueenForum in the web (with special mention to QOL, which is good aswell). With the latest tour lots of new users have come and this is good, but you have to see that this is pretty much a community (real or virtual, whatever) with some members being here for many years now. It's ok to discuss, but with a reason and not just slamming. My comment to the previous poster is that you don't have to leave but to comment what you say and what you think respectfully. Some will agree, some won't, but in the middle of it all, you might find yourself in a good discussion (as in a rational one, not just arguing). I have some doubts about how the new album will do in the US. I expect Top 20, but I don't think it'll be number 1, because we all know the difference in musical tastes between de US, Europe and the World. Yet, I'm really thrilled about Brian and Roger touring AS Queen. I don't think I would have flown 12 thousand kilometers and travelled another thousand by car to see Brian OR Roger's solo tour. But it was Queen, it's as much Queen as we are getting from now on. I think Paul Rodgers is a great bluesy singer with a powerful voice. He's not Freddie, but he's not trying to be Freddie, so that's not a problem. Chill out, guys.. :) Wiley |

I raced over to BestBuy after work and picked it up -- I like it, but clearly this is Brian May's band, not Freddie Mercury's. Of course Freddie is probably the best frontman ever, but in a way I'm reminded of the Brian May Band Live at Brixton Academy. Got me & girlfriend stoked for NJ! |
