Hello,
I think these singers would do nicely to join Brian and Roger on tour:
Bono (powerful voice)
Elton John (especially)
George Michael (Sounds excellent live)
David Bowie (talent)
Tony Hadley (powerful voice)
Roger Daltrey (legend who knows a thing or two)
they all have powerful voices
somehow Brian isn't a very good singer though he does try and Roger's voice is only useful for opera and maybe high bits
what does anyone else think?

Johnny, stick to guitar topics, they're less pathetic than this one. It's clear you know about as much about music as a deaf mentally disabled person.
Bono's voice is 100% unsuitable for Queen-songs, he has neither Freddie's range nor timbre
Elton is too old to be able to cope with a lengthy tour, his voice'd collapse halfway (at best)
George Michael has given up his musical carreer (thank god)
David Bowie is losing his memory. He has stated himself that he cannot remember lyrics and needs them in front of him on paper
Hadley couldn't cope with Queen-songs
Roger Daltrey is again getting old
And Roger's voice, suitable for opera? Man, you know NOTHING about music! Roger has a rock-voice, it's far too rough for anything (semi-)classical.
I agree except for your take on Daltrey
I'm a Queen fan first, Who fan second.
And I thought his take on IWIA at the FM Tribute was, albeit a little unrefined, dead-on.
Daltrey is starting to lose it a bit with his age, but he's about 60. For a guy of 60, he's still fantastic. I'm really getting into the Who these days (Lester, you should be proud!!).
I picked up a Who bootleg DVD from Houston 1975, and I'm in love with it. I've got a few other bootlegs, and the whole 2002 tour in mp3... I probably won't listen to them all! As for albums, I've got Tommy, Live at Leeds, and Quadrophenia. Awesome stuff.

Right, if you're a stepford fan. Open-minded fans who appreciate the quality of other singers may be able to see someone else fitting well with Brian and Roger today, even if they don't resemble Freddie very much. With that in mind, I can safely say I don't think they could have made a better choice than Paul Rodgers.

I got Who's Next, Quadrophenia, Tommy (I think), By Numbers, Who Are You, and It's Hard.
If you don't have Who's Next, you're missing out on their best stuff, man.

I've heard most of Who's Next on the radio a hundred times, and I still love it. One day I'll pick it up!
i quote myself i said :-
Wasnt any,
Isnt any
wont ever be any
BUT
The ONLY THING CLOSE to Freddies repalcement is Paul Rodgers, fantastic voice, great with the crowds, in great shape and has a long way to go before he is "too old" and has to retire!
GREGORY FINSLEY, is FREDDIE reincarnated. He is totally awesome...living in Dallas and performing in TX, AK, LA with 'QUEEN FOR A DAY.' He does Freddie better than Freddie! You will get chills when you see him because he IS the original. Dead on. When the Queen Convention was in Dallas, 2 years ago, Gregory Finsley was the main attraction. BELIEVE.
