I'll apply my dope argument to this post. Until you have tried it(seen them), your opinion is 100% shit! As far as disrespect to Freddie, the show I saw paid a serious amount to him. You "Not without Freddie!" idiots need to remember his last musical message on their last album before his death. "The show must go on!" |

i actually admit i was a bit sceptical (spelling?) about the thought of replacing freddie. but i wanted to see themas it was my only chance to see brian and roger. but when i saw the concert i converted and i now like the idea and paul is a good frontman. so BPP have you seen the show yet or listened to clips of it. |

Yeah, Fred passed away and Queen did at that time too... at least for me. BUT, those guys are musicians and want to work and tour again. SO leave them alone. You have a choice in this free world to listen or not listen to this version of the band. I wasn't crazy about it either and it does seem strange without the original lineup but you can't change the fact that they all want to work. I just wish they never used the name QUEEN for this tour. WOuld people be more supportive of this project if they were to write some original material and use a different name? I mean, 3 out of the 5 members of Guns and Roses formed Velet Revolver and added some G-n-R songs to their set. It's not G-n-R but people still want to see them and they hit big. |

life is to short to get upset over something so little. I went I seen I enjoyed I wish i got tickets for another show or two. Its not 100% Queen but 50% will do me Paul Rogers was amazing he wasn’t Freddie but who is. Freddie still played a big part in the show I had a tear in my eye when love of my life was played, oh Freddie you are so missed but thanks to your good Friends Brian, Roger and even John who isn’t on the tour you will always be remembered as the greatest. Long live Queen and long live Queen and Paul Rogers for keeping Queen and Freddie alive in your hearts |

QUEENROCKS_1991 20.08.2005 09:52 |
I saw the show at wembley and yes freddie was part of it seeing Paul have accepted that and that is kind of him The show was so cool and was nice to see brian and roger there again Freddie would have been proud of them we are going thru time and nothing stop here so to brian and roger and paul keep going and keep the world rockin if it was rubbish the show would be empty but it wasnt lol |
@ndy38 20.08.2005 09:54 |
Bryan's Permed Poodle i could understand where you were coming from but now you've taken it too far. If they want to go on tour let them. Although i don't recognise this as really 'Queen', i don't have anything against Brian and Roger wanting to tour again performing Queen songs. I suggest you get over it. |
chauncey 20.08.2005 10:56 |
Personally, I think BPP is trying to get a rise out of people and LOVES the attention. Actually, I'll bet that BPP loves Paul Rodgers and supports the tour......... |

Each to their own BPP. Remember I asked you a while back why you supported Robbie Willims over PR and you managed to give a decent civil answer and reason? See this if you don't remember, link Well, people actually started to have respect for you and your feelings and views. Now give a little back and respect others views on this issue. If people wish to support the tour... let them and leave it at that! For Gods sake please!!!!!!!!!!!! No offence pal, you're getting boring now. |

BPP - That's the fucking problem with people like you. 10 years ago, Robbie Williams was a pretty good singer. Then he covers WATC and he's the most insignificant piece of shit on earth. A while back, you would have probably said that Paul Rodgers writes some really good songs and now that he's touring with Queen, he's committing such an *evil* sin. Nobody will ever be good enough for your stupid, stepford ass. Just let it the hell go and shut the fuck up. I've heard endless rants about how Queen can only tour with John and Freddie. I totally agree. But Queen+ can tour with whoever the fuck they feel like. You act like this is some sick plot to fuck with you or something. Nobody's forcing you to attend any concerts or buy the record so quit your fucking bitching you emo/stepford piece of shit! |
englishyob 20.08.2005 14:31 |
who gives a shit what BPP thinks as long as we enjoy the tour and have the chance to see Queen tour with Paul Rogers |

BPP, you can be an incredible asshole. You completely ignore that fact that we love QUEEN because of the power and majesty of their MUSIC, not just because Freddie was an incredible performer and frontman. Sure, I wish Freddie were alive and could still tour. But in his absence, you can be damn sure I will pay to see and hear that music performed live again by artists who know how it should sound and feel. So, consistent with your chosen heading for this topic, I want you to know that you disgust me, too. |
Weave 20.08.2005 15:31 |
Sorry, but this is rediculous. The remaining capable and willing members of Queen are out touring again with a singer who has come in due to the unfortunate death of the legend that was Freddie Mercury. Queen songs have been altered for a new feel in the shows, numerous tributes to Freddie are made throughout each one and Paul Rodgers has stated on several occasions that he has the utmost respect for Freddie. You don't like the idea of the tour, don't go, simple as that. No need to spread crap like this which only serves to make you look like a moron. I haven't heard one negative remark from anyone who went to any of the shows, and everyone, whether a fan of Queen, Free, Bad Company, Brian, Roger or Paul, has admitted that they were moved by the tributes made in the shows, such as Love Of My Life. Now please, stop simultaneously wasting your time and throwing yourself into stupidity and just use common sense. The tour is done with respect or Brian and Roger, some of Freddie's closest companions, wouldn't have embarked upon it. Freddie Mercury - Gone but not forgotten. Queen + Paul Rodgers - Long live this partnership. That make sense to you now? |
INXS 20.08.2005 17:12 |

Now if I had to guess, I would have this BPP down as roughly 8 to 15 years old (sincere apologies to the fans on this site of that age but trust me, you are a lot more mature). But if I recall from an old thread, I am sure he is in his 40's! For God's sake, what an arsehole! As Freddie would say 'He is talking from here'. And yes, you know where 'here' is! Basically, everybody is entitled to their own opinion, no matter how pathetic it may seem to some people but when that person keeps on and on and especially about something that is so shit and also when it involves trying to convince people that he has a valid point, then it is time for that person to be banned! As it has been said for about a zazillion amount of times, there will never be another Freddie Mercury and nobody but nobody will ever replace him. They are not trying to do that!!! I can respect if you don't like Paul Rodgers but you really have not got a clue if you don't think Paul Rodgers has an excellent voice! At the end of the day, if a 'mature' adult acts the way you do, then God help your children (if you have any). Then again, I cannot see you being married or have any children, as you are such a narrow minded, stuck in your ways prick! So Queen died in 1991??? Funny that, I thought it was Freddie Mercury who sadly passed away! So I take it you disagree with not only this fantastic tour but also the tribute concert, the 'Made In Heaven' album, the 'No-One But You (Only The Good Die Young)' single, the 'Queen Rocks' album and the 'We Will Rock You' show? I mean, Heaven forbid, it just isn't Queen, because there is no Freddie Mercury!!! I would love nothing more, than for Freddie to be alive and still BE A PART OF QUEEN. But he is dead! You are one of the most stubborn idiots if you will not even try going to one of the concerts and see for yourself what it would be like. I was fortunate enough to see Queen and Paul Rodgers at Cardiff C.I.A and at Hyde Park. The two concerts were fantastic! You had Brian May and Roger Taylor playing as if age had not caught up with them and Paul Rodgers voice was excellent. After both concerts, I said to my girlfriend that seeing as it was so good, just imagine what it would have been like with Freddie. Of course it would be better but this is the closest thing we will ever get. Yes, we have memories of Freddie and his performances/concerts and they will never go away. But is your brain capacity that small that you cannot create new memories and that you are so far up your own arse that you act like a spoilt child and will not even give the concert a chance???!!! Brian May and Roger Taylor was part of a band called Queen, just like Freddie Mercury. Freddie Mercury was not Queen but a part of a fantastic group called Queen. I also believe Freddie quoted that they would be together until they died. Does the song 'The Show Must Go On' mean anything to you? Brian and Roger are musicians, so why shouldn't they go out there under the name of Queen, when that was their name in the first place? I know you will probably come back with a pathetic response like, 'Queen is not Queen without Freddie Mercury' and to an extent, yes, I agree but in the context of that Queen will never be as good without Freddie Mercury but as a true fan, of course you would recognise that but how can you justify that Queen died in 1991, when it was just one person who actually died? That is like saying every time a football club, say Manchester United, loses a player, then that football club can no longer and is no longer Manchester United? I mean, I love Wayne Rooney as a player and I would hate to see Manchester United lose him but would that stop me supporting Manchester United or them changing their name? No, of course it wouldn't. Did I ever want Freddie to die? Of course not but do I want Queen to exist in any shape or form? Of course I do! I mean, come on, get a grip on reality here and bloody grow up!!! I will end by sayin |
