Guild, but I guess your budget is not that big.
In that case, you're better off with a Burns.
The Burns is an 'official' signature guitar, made in collaboration with Brian himself. The Dillion is a non-official product...
And if you do have the cash for the Guild, I have a rarer than rare 1985 in black (allegedly one of five made) that I may be putting up on the market. Do I hear $3,000 US?
i own a burns and it is the nicest guitar ive ever played.
oh and sharon IMHO i think fenders are horrible.dont get me wrong they are good quality guitars but i hate the shape of them all
Fender may be the best selling guitar in the country. But it doesn't make it the best guitar. I do own a Strat. I am very happy w/ it. But I bought it because I can't afford a Les Paul, which is a far better made guitar than a Fender. If you line up 10 brand new American made Strats along side 10 brand new Les Pauls, & played them all. You would find all 10 Gibsons were perfect where as only 3-4 of the Strats would be the same.
I've owned Les Pauls and have had nothing but bad luck with them. Gibson stopped caring about quality control a long time ago.
As far as Red Special replicas go the Dillion isn't very good. I checked out a Burns that was nice.
I'll stick with my Tele for now :)
