Does anybody know where John Deacon is now? And why he isn't a part of Queens new tour? |
Mercuryworks 16.08.2005 16:22 |
He is at Miami Beach. He was going to join the new tour but because he had chronic diarrhea he missed the rehearsal and Brixton. Almost Hyde Park but he took the longest shit in history. Took three days and he lost 40 pounds. It will be in Guiness Book of World Records next year. |

Heres a serious answer.. John retired from Queen and the public a few years ago. Hes not on the tour because he doesnt want anything to do with Queen anymore. He would of been doing a good deed if he was to join..though he would probably spend his money on whores again :) |

It's probably one of those things you must to do to become a Queen fan - ask where's John Deacon now, where's a teen boy from The Miracle video, who wrote Innuendo and why we can't share officially available stuff here... |

I'm really getting the impression that John was actually had huge respect and admiration for Freddie and that he feels that Roger and Brian are now disrespecting that legacy and the name Queen for that matter. Of course they would argue differently but there are a number of Queen fans who would agree with John. |
tomyorenes 17.08.2005 08:40 |
I do agree with John. I think Brian & Roger still have interesting things to do, but they have mistaken the way to do them. I think they are not using properly what remains from Queen. |

Its really wierd becasue my godd friend Chris Cook recently won a competition to do a workshop with Brian May and Roger Taylor. in Wales forgot the name of the place.. Anyway Brian May knocked on his door late one evening and said "Hey do you fancy coming out for adrink.. I've tried everyone else but they're all fast asleep." So he had a quiet drink in a Welsh AT 11:30 at night with Brain May!! Chris asked him about John deacon and Brian said "Yeah well me and Roger call him all the time.. he answers and he talks to us but when we go over he doenst answer the door.." |

This is what I found its not really what you were looking for but it might help. I'll keep looking! link John flirted briefly with a solo career in 1986, when he setup the group, 'The Immortals' with Robert Ahwai and Lenny Zakatek. they recorded 'No Turning Back' and released it as a single in 1986, and the song was used in the film 'Biggles'. John also appears as a cameo in the film. Between 1986 and 1997 John again worked with Queen, completing 'The Miracle' and 'Innuendo' albums, assisting with 'Made in Heaven' and the recording of the Queen single 'No One But You' in 1997 and did assist in preliminary work on the 'We Will Rock You' stage show. John has now officially retired from the music business but does endorse the new tour, but did not wish to be part of it. John also checks-up with the Queen fan clubs to keep in touch with the fans. |
The Belisha Beacon 12.05.2007 12:00 |
Imagine he did die though seriously, would it be like on the news or would we just never know. presumably Brian may give it a passing mention on the Soapbox somewhere between talking about Astro Physics and We Will Rock You perhaps... In all seriousness, there are a few of us lucky ones who do actually know where he is right now. Well not right now, I mean he could be on holiday for all I know! But as in his London address. He does still live in London with his family and by all accounts he has a perfectly normal life away from the stalking public like me :-) |
The Belisha Beacon 12.05.2007 12:01 |
Hmm yes Innuendo, Roger showing that he can actually write decent songs when he tries! |
The Belisha Beacon 12.05.2007 12:04 |
John is still living in London, in a quiet road in Putney with his family. He did not say anything of the sort about Queen and Paul Rodgers, he does not want to be part of it simply because he is retired, yet he endorsed the tour wholeheartedly. I'm not just full of it either, this information comes from a very reliable source. In fact it was Peter Freestone and he would know. |

Those idiots from the media are always making things up without checking sources, sometimes I think I should send another bomb like the one I dropped to that grumpy bastard Sebastian on 30th July 2007. As you all know, Paul criticised WWRY so we kicked him out and now we'll go on tour with Johnny Rotten, who was Freddie's (and Paul's!) favourite singer. Some months ago Rog was made redundant as well because he thought that Herbig-Haro objects were "those funny lights on E.T.'s belly". So the tour is gonna be Ringo, Mr Rotten and yours truly and will be labelled "Queen + The Beatles + Sex Pistols". Tomorrow I'll fly to Douala to open the musical in yet another place - it's been TEN YEARS ! TEN FRIGGIN' GLORIOUS YEARS !! TEN HONORIFICABILITUDINITATIBUS YEARS !!! TEN MULTI-ORGASMIC YEARS !!!!!!!!!! So. Thanks for listening. Don't forget that my autobiography 'I Will I Will Rant You' will be out next Sunday. Cheers Bri PS: I heard good ol' Deacy popped his clogs. Will be missed. |

Once a month, typically right around the 1st, a friendly-looking guy who's starting to bald some and showing more than a few gray hairs comes strolling out of a house in England. He walks down to the mailbox at the end of his driveway, opens it up, and pulls out several envelopes from Electra, EMI, and other record companies. He then opens them, removes a thin sheet of paper from each, and shouts, "WOOHOO! ROYALTIES!" He then walks calmly back into his house, not to be seen again until next month. Such is the life of the elusive John Deacon. |

Their seems to be a misconception that John retired after Freddies death. However he worked on made in heaven and also recorded Only the Good Die Young. Around that time Both Brian and Roger said in interviews that they could see the three of them collaborating in the future. Soon after that Recording and possible live dates with Robbie Williams were talked about, at that point John made it clear he didn't want any part of it. They fell out like many bands do, and while he has let them carry on using the Queen name, he is still a director of Queen productions, he no longer talks to them. Brian and John choose their words carefully when talking about Mr Deacon, and he doesn't talk about them. His retirement was not directly linked to Freddie. |
