I'm just boiling over at being told I have no life, Queen are shite and I should try listening to rap, hip-hop and R&B. Please reassure me! I know I shouldn't react angrily to these comments but I hate being told what music to listen to. Aren't we supposed to respect each other's opinions? I've done a pretty good job so far of respecting this person's opinion on her type of music - but I can't control my fury when she can't respect mine. I'm proud to be a Queen fan and I'll love them till my dying day but I don't think I'll be able to withstand constant peer pressure. |

I'm the most diehard Queen fan at school and at work, so I get a lot of comments that Queen - and classic rock in general - is garbage. To that, I respond, "Wow. I never knew I was working with/at school with The God Of All Music." No one has the ultimate judgement on whether music is good or bad. |

No one dares to call me a foul name bc I love Queen's music. Infact, no one within striking distance of me dare call me anything I don't want to be called!! If someone ever said that I was a loser for listening to Queen I think I would die laughing. Anyone that would say that obviously has no appreciation for good music that is written and composed by the actual artist(s). Here's the thing, I don't give a flying F**K whether anyone agrees with, or approves of my musical tastes or not. Period. So far, and I have said this before, I must be fortunate, because I am 44 and I cannot think of anyone ever ragging on my liking Queen in any way. The only thing I HAVE encountered, is unfortunately alot of people in my age group, who actually do NOT know who Queen are. Sad. But...if anyone were to rag on Queen, I'd tell them to GET BENT! and then go on to tell them why and how Queen is one of the most talented, landmark, influential, legendary bands in music and in history and in popular culture and their impact and influence on so many other music artists to this very day! :-) |

I was harrassed all through high school & beyond. No one liked Queen in the States back in the 80's Especially when IWTBF was released on video. I was 15 then & I WAS the only person wearing my Queen concert jersey from my region & any other Queen shirts I could find. Believe me it was hard to find them. Don't sweat it. 30 years on their music is still a force & w/ all the honors being given to Bo Rhap there is the proof. Next time you get teased just turn it up a little louder. |

Yeah, Queen has stood the test of time...it takes a great band to still sound relevant after thirty years or so. Just listen to any song and the emotion is stil applicable now...it's music with substance! And it's so hard to find a band that covered the range of styles that Queen did - they were original and a once in a lifetime type of band. |

Infact, I'm quite sure most bands today were in some way or another influenced by Queen and I always have to laugh when someone says they hate Queen but they like *whoever* and I know for a fact that that particular group is admittidly influenced by Queen. I suppose they're kind of like Led Zeppelin in that respect. Almost every band since then has, in one way or another, been influenced and inspired by them. They're just that amazing. |

hi everyone, i'm new. as far as i'm concerned Queen are very popular and the people that hate them are in a minority. I mean even today Queen were voted the second greatest band of all time ( in London ) and Bo Rhap the best song ( once again in Loondon ). When I was in high school, nobody really understood what Queen are, one of the BIGGEST bands in History. They liked those bands that will never be remebered for something really interesting. They used to call me Queen in a very sarcastic way , so I used to say Fuck U all music fools!!!! Now I am 25 and they seem to have learned that Queen are the BEST.
