We love Queen, duh. But is there any Queen song(s) that are popular, charted well, or just liked among fans that YOU really have never cared for?? |
Saint Jiub 07.08.2005 23:25 |
These songs are ok but I like most other Queen songs more: My Fairy King Now I'm Here We Are the Champions Save Me Scandal Innuendo The Show Must Go On |
deleted user 07.08.2005 23:49 |
i never quite loved youre my best friend, though i will listen to it i mean, i dont think there are really any queen songs that i dont like, i just never quite understood what was so great about youre my best friend |
Sharron .G 07.08.2005 23:55 |
Rip Van Winkle- Thanks for sharing, and I appreciate the opinion... but are you trying to kill me?? We are the Champions and The Show must Go on are just ok??? These are Queen defining songs to me. To me, not liking these songs, and yet still being a Queen fan are not likely to me. |
Saint Jiub 08.08.2005 00:52 |
Those two songs are ok, but I would much rather listen to most other less popular songs like Action This Day, Who Needs You, Rain Must Fall, Good Company and Don't Try Suicide. Shall I call a medic? |
AmeriQueen 08.08.2005 01:07 |
Friends Will Be Friends(lameass lyrics, worst Queen song ever!) Jesus(Too religious in nature for me) Sleeping on the Sidewalk(not original sounding) Body Language(goofy song to me) Don't Try Suicide(cheeseball lyrics but what a guitar solo) Those songs aren't even that bad though. The only Queen related songs that truly suck ass are the Bruce Springsteen song Roger Taylor covers off of Strange Frontier and that horrid No Turning Back song John Deacon did. |

Well, I've always despised You Don't Fool Me but most people think I'm crazy when I tell them I'm not a big fan of These are the Days of Our Lives. I don't particularly dislike but I don't particularly like it either. |

deleted user 08.08.2005 02:50 |
You probably don't like these songs now, but later you will probably love them. That always happens to me. For instance, I never really like Don't Try so Hard, but now its one of my favorite songs and many more. |
butambul 08.08.2005 02:54 |
Will always dislike Now I'm Here & Brighton Rock..and it's their fav song during live shows..damm.. |

The King Of Rhye 08.08.2005 03:18 |
the one popular Queen song that I never got into was Radio Ga Ga, actually.....I dont really dislike it, but it just does nothing for me.... I used to think much the same about Under Pressure, but now thats one of my favorites, though.... |
iljaiya 08.08.2005 04:27 |
The Loser In The End > Although I like most Taylor compositions I just can't stand this one. She Makes Me > Makes me think of Oasis. Good Company > It's not good and between spoils the best part of ANATO (TPS, LOML and BH). Rain Must Fall > Misfire was ok, but this song just sucks. Delilah > That's obvious. Other songs that I think are weaker than the rest: Jesus, Fight From The Inside, Dancer, Coming Soon and Friends Will Be Friends. |
iljaiya 08.08.2005 04:28 |
Oh yeah thanks Rip van Winkle > I also don't like Who Needs You I hate those Caribean tunes. |

Sometimes I listen to Under Pressure, but it's not one of my great favourites. |

Sharron .G wrote: We love Queen, duh. For example, I have a mild dislike for the following: Life is Real All God's People One Year of Love My Life Has Been Saved Scandal With the exception of Scandal, I do like the songs in my previous post, but I do not think they are great. Ironically, I do like the 12" version of Scandal. |

Body Language (too sex driven) Brighton Rock solo at Wembley (the one at MK is OK cause it is funny when the cord pops out of Brian's guitar) Hitman (it's too guitar heavy for me) The last track on MIH the 23 minute one (I can't stand any song that long.) The FLASH album (not just the song, the entire thing!) |
NJQueenFan 08.08.2005 21:56 |
Some Day One Day Tenement Funster White Man We are the Champions Don't Stop Me Now Another One Bites the Dust The Hitman ...they're all good songs, but I could just never really get into them like the rest of the stuff in Queen's catalogue. |
lovequeen 09.08.2005 04:25 |
Firstly, I find Las Palabras de Amor extremely boring, opposite to the general "it's so beautiful and a great song" -attitude.. And I usually skip WWRY/WATC, heard them a thousand times, good songs in some context, but for listening to at home? No way.. |
willem-jan 8923 09.08.2005 05:22 |
I don't care for: Las palabras de Amor I go crazy Is this the world we created Tear it up In the lap of the gods If you can't beat them Need your loving tonight It's a hard life Keep passing the open windows Heaven for everyone (Freddie vocals) I can listen to them, but find most of them kind of boring. Others I don't like vocalwise. |
neodave 09.08.2005 06:02 |
a kind of magic - (too soft an boring) now i'm here - (it's a great live song, but not in studio) heaven for everyone - (the same like "magic") stealin' - (sorry guys but this is terrible!) yes, i think that's it... |

''She makes me''. Well,it's not the fact that I hate it but I don't find it that good... |

Save Me, Now I'm Here, Flash (sorry Brian, they're all your songs but I still love you!), Seven Seas of Rhye, The Invisible Man... Although I love most of them, and a lot of Brian's songs so no offence to him in any way from what you can see above. |
netpredakonn 11.08.2005 13:01 |
there just one song i really cant stand hearing: Radio Ga Ga. This song is so repetitive and boring, and i really dislike. The chorus makes me think: "Why, why, little brat(the son of roger taylor) did you do this to me?". |
Billy the Goat 11.08.2005 16:47 |

Delilah, the only song in the whole Queen archive I always skip. |
Groucho Marx 11.08.2005 17:38 |
Reading over these, it's hard to think somebody could like Queen and not a song that I love so much. But it makes sense. Queen wrote songs in so many different styles that of course they are going to attract fans with several different tastes. For me, there were songs I didn't like much at first, but they grew on me. Now the only ones I don't like as much are the ones that are overplayed on the radio, commercials, live, etc. Well, it's not that I don't like them as much, but I don't listen to them as much so that every once in a long while when I listen to it, I can still enjoy it. |
pooz 16.08.2005 16:17 |
I understand why songs like A Kind Of Magic Radio Ga Ga The Invisible Man You Don't Fool Me Another One Bites The Dust are international hits because they're successes in a commercial way. But for Queen standards they are very, very mediocre to me. Non-hits I got never into, but I like them though, are: Sheer Heart Attack Get Down Make Love Fun It Body Language The Hitman |
Captain Fap 16.08.2005 17:40 |
I don't know, I guess Sleepin on the Sidewalk and My Melancoly Blues were never 'my thing'. One that i really just don't like is Mad the Swine, it annoys me a little bit. Jesus just makes me laugh (and wonder what they were thinking). Other then that there are songs I sometimes skip because they sometimes seem slow or quite and that doesn't work when I want to listen to something LOUD. |
