Hi everybody! I was wondering today, how many of you like (or dislike) the greatest hits'III version of AOBTD... I think they turned it into a good rap..
And what do you guys think of ghIII 'Under Pressure'??
Sorry if this topic was already discussed before..
When i heard AOBTD from GH3 it was the first time i ever thought that they have donne a wrong decision (or a very, very bad one). I like the Under Pressure version, but i do think that GH3 was their biggest mistake, in the way it was donne!! Really, to put solo versions in that album was just not right.
Take care

well, seeing as wyclef jean didnt even ask the band, but instead remixed it himself and released a single, i dont think it was the bands bad decision
anyway, the rah mix is okay, but the original is 100% preferred over it
GHIII was just a reason to release a bunch of fillers. AOBTD is an atrocity and I cannot think of a worse cover version of a Queen song. Under Pressure is pretty cool, of course, I like dance music anyway and the video is pretty creative (considering the majority was just re-recycled bits of Wembley).
The AOBTD Wyclef remix is fine, but shouldn't be included on a Greatest Hits album.. His place should have been as a B-Side to a certain single instead..
The Rah-Mix of Underpressure is great.. I bought both singles at the time of the release.. CD1 and CD2.. :)
There's good rap and then there's absolute rubbish like AOBTD. I can't really stand it. Body Language would have been a more enjoyable choice. And I HATE Body Language.
Under Pressure is a fantastic reworking though. I fell in love with that one instantly.
The album as a whole seems like a mess of odds and ends.
Well, i totally agree with you guys... these songs would work better as b-sides, not on a GH...
And to me, the video to Under Pressure is very very good, with all that Mercury/Bowie thing..
I like the 'Rah' mix of 'Under Pressure' quite a bit more than the original actually. However, I strongly dislike '...Dust'. Gag me with a... uhhh... door.
Unlike most people who just hate rap for the sake of it/becuase they are close minded, I quite like the AOBTD remix. I prefer just the Wyclef parts, as the other parts ruin it for me. I like the way he drops in Freddie everynow and then, and I like the way the bass and drums are far ''bassier''.
However, I don't really like the Rah mix that much. What's the point? At least, for me anyway, the AOBTD remix is something totally different.
Both are fine.
Of course it's strange to put a Wyclef Jean (feat.P...) on a Queen's Greatest Hits Album.
But if they hadn't done it, many youngsters just wouldn't have the ability to listen to it. :)
I still prefer this song to 'Pain is so close to pleasure' on a Greatest Hits 3 album.
AOBTD from GHIII is one of the worst things I've ever heard. EVER.
UP is better but prefer original- I always thought this rah mix was just... pointless...
Wyclef's version of AOBTD was a big radio hit at least here in Finland and I think it sold well too around the world. It was a HIT, that's why it was on the album.
AOBTD GH3 ugh! video was cool, though. UP rah mix excellent. Of course, the kids watching "Little Soldiers" movie will know about Wyclef Jean but not rappers with more gangsta style like Chuck D or KRS-One Or Ice-T. Wyclef would pull popsicle out on me, not a 9mm!
I don't generally hate rap, but Wyclef's AOBTD is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!!!! Reminds me of that horrible Dance Traxx I shite.. thank goodness there never was another one (II) of those!
UP Rah mix is good, but so is the original song as well.. Like the idea of the video, better than lots of other DoRo material..
