Sorry if this question has been asked before.
I've got a question regarding this tour. I was reading a few bits from QueenConcerts and I came across a list of songs Queen only played scarcely for that specific tour.
On the list was a number called "Mull Of Kintyre".
Now I know they played I'm a Man and supposedly Mannish Boy as well but I've never heard of this particulair song. Did they actually played it? It doesn't doesn't appear on any concert.

I read that they apparently played this song on the second night after KYA. There's a recording of this show, but unfortunately only 60 minutes up to '39. I don't know if that's just another rumour or if this info indeed came from a reliable source though.(Maybe someone who attended the concert?)
don't want to question the accuracy of Queenconcerts.com - as it's usually spot on. But
how did Queen perform a track live during spring/summer of 1977 six months BEFORE Paul McCartney released the song? very odd?
and the Liverpool gig was a WHOLE year before the single was released...something odd going down here.....
Hmmm... Yeah, this is strange... Mull Of Kintyre was pre-Christmas release in the end of 1977...
(GB's book says that they've played only short snippet in one of those pre-Earls Court Liverpool concerts.)
MOK was released 11 Nov 1977.
I've got a feeling that it was actually played on the second night Liverpool '79 not LIverpool 77. Though I can't find the tracklist I wrote down that night. As there are no known boots of that gig I can't be sure.
I'm sure liverpool 77 waswhen Brian mentioned the new underground train system which went under the theatre interfering with his feedback.

OK- two possibilities tahn
1- it was Liverpool 1979
2- it was justa snippet REMOTELY similar to Mull... and someone just said "yeah, that's Mull..." and it stayed like that... I HAVEN'T EHARD it, I must say, so... But yeah- seems like Liverpool'77 is out of the question...
I doubt it was Liverpool'79, because they usually didn't play any covers on the Crazy Tour aside from Jailhouse Rock as opener, while on earlier tours they used to play a lot more(Mannish Boy etc.). There are only 4 recordings of this tour available, but it still seems strange.
So I'd say possiblity #2 is probably true.
Actually I spoke to Jim Jenkins about this, he attended that gig (as he lives in Liverpool, of course). I asked "did they really play Mull Of Kintyre in Liverpool 1977?" and he replied :"yes and it was a great surprise for all of us" or something like that. He said he also recorded it but either has thrown the tape away or lost it or it's simply hidden somewhere in his house :-)
But that fact that the song actually didn't exist at that time, makes me a bit confused :-)
