I asked it some time ago and nobody has done it :( link
It's a song that could really sounds better with another ending !
So if someone is interested, let's go ;)
Reading that other thread about making a different ending, I'm just wondering... what with? There's no instrumental version that I know of, and there's no other version to work from, so short of repeating one of the verses and fading it out, which would be a bit cack, I don't see what else can be done with it, but full marks to anyone who has a go! ;)
Okay, I'm willing to give this a bash. I have the disc with the Mother Love instrumental on it. But I wouldn't do a simple fade out with that version. I'd rather record something new into it. If you don't mind this, do you still want me to try?
Peace,
Adam.
I found the discs after a small search. Will get on this one tomorrow.
Hey Fickle, I just remembered that this same eYe disc has a complete instrumental of Heaven For Everyone. Do you want it uploaded?
Peace,
Adam.
I have The eYe discs, thanks Adam. I just didn't notice Mother Love was on them! I am thinking of doing an 'extended' HFE, which is also on the Karaoke CDs, and will probably be my next project, when I get a moment over the weekend.
There's something else you should realise. The eYe version is phase reversed! It seems fine for mixing because of this.
I'm still working on a mix. Adding new elements, but nothing radical.
Peace,
Adam.
If you can, use audition for this. Place the original album version and the eYe version on separate tracks in the multitrack section. Beat to beat. You'll notice that they mirror each other like looking at your reflection in the water, i.e. one has a hill in the waveform while the lower one is a dip in the waveform. I'm not sure how else to explain it.
Peace,
Adam.
Aye, aye, captain! I always fall over when trying to explain these kind of things.
Anyway, the principle is this:
Two matching waveforms in phase with each other will combine and double in volume.
Whereas, two waveforms of opposite value will cancel each other out.
Peace,
Adam.
