As expected I'm totally floored that Queen are playing America let alone my home state. So I was wondering whos coming? I hope to see alot of the same faces that I met early this year in Birmingham. And hey at least for this show we can tailgate longer without having to worry about getting near the stage as the tickets are all reserved. Thats just more drinking time!!!
Headlong24: It's about time we heard from you! You're going to be at the Meadowlands tailgate party, right? Looking forward to it . . . and bring that brother of yours. He's a cool dude!

costing me an arm and a leg mind you
Well then, you'll have to come to the tailgate party. Are you with the FC group or are you coming over on your own?
i'm coming with the fc group.
what is a tailgate party? is it like a traffic jam party?
It's a party in the car park where everyone opens their car boots (which hopefully contain beer and food), grill food, play loud music from the car stereo, consume beer or other alcoholic beverage.
These are quite popular a few hours before and after American football games. The best tailgate parties and cuisine can be found at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin ---Home of the Green Bay Packers---GO PACK...

Or in San Diego, California, home of the Chargers--Go Bolts! Typical Charger-game tailgate menus include but are not limited to: margaritas, daiquiris, beer, bloody marys and/or champagne for early games, more champagne for playoff and Superbowl games, (and even more champagne for NOT making the playoffs and/or the Superbowl) chips and salsa, carne asada/steaks, barbecued chicken, ribs, shrimp/prawns, grilled vegetables and tofu those who prefer animals uncooked or in case Brian May drops by, all manner of outrageous desserts . . . oh, and did I mention liquor?
Everybody brings something and tries to outdo everyone else, which tends to elevate the quality of the food served ;-)
Tailgating is an artform.
Well I went a little nuts and bought tickets for NJ and LA and I am in Florida!
Now I have to figure out how I am going to do this, I figured I missed seeing them before I am not missin git this time even if it wont be the same without Freddie.
What hotel is close by?
I;m sure some people will be willing to offer up some grill space for those who wont have a grill. I for one will be happy to help out a few who don't have anything to cook on.
sorry, but i have to jump in this with both green and gold legs......
tailgating in Green Bay is not only a religion, but a way of life and its something i worship every sunday in the fall and hopefully into jan.
i used to go to packer tailgate parties and not even have tickets to the game, the tailgating was an event all of its own.
oh yah, i hope to be in jersey...lol
I am! I'll be leaving from Jersey City, Hoboken or Manhattan, I still need to see. Anyone departing from any of those places? then we can make some tailgate party before/after the show!
We need to make plans as the day of the concet approaches!
