I Want it All, The Miracle, Chinese Torture..... it's such an underrated album, certainly better than anything else they'd done in the 80s. |

I don't like this album as much, but maybe I haven't listen to it as much as I should. But I don't like "party" as much, not Kashoggis Ship" either. |

I like the album very much, the songs I like the most are Breakthru, Khashoggi's ship, The Miracle, Was It All Worth It, Scandal and Hang On In There. |

Basically, I like every song on the album except Rain Must Fall. IMHO, it's the best album that Queen put out in the '80s. |
| deleted user 28.07.2005 22:45 |
what does IMHO stand for anyway? |
| Roy Queen 28.07.2005 22:48 |
Yeah, I have always wondered about that to... so answer no then!!! |

Best Queen album of 80's and 90's. tIM, Beakthru and RMF are my favorites. I am not crazy about Scandal (too plodding and repetitive) but the remix is excellent. |

All the songs are either great or decent apart from the first two. I want it all and breakthru are classics. |

This album is something special for me also, it has so much positive power and brilliant melodies. And even 16 years after its release it doesn't sound out of date like lots of other 80's records. Queen always were ahead of their time...and something unique. I remember talking to the bass player of the german band 4lyn and he told me that sometimes he sits down in his room, listens to the album "The Miracle" and just could cry because its so great. The lyrics are so optimistic and the overall sound so positive in comparison to "Innuendo", which I also love. And I think "Breakthru" , "The Miracle" and "Scandal" have just brilliant videos, could watch them over and over again! *hehe* |

I personally love songs like Khashoggi's Ship, The Miracle, I want it all, Scandal, Was it all worth it and Hang on in there |

funny you got this, I heard the album the other day (after about 18 months). Some good tracks on there, one above all is the 12" version of Scandal (incl. in the US 1991 Remasters). It is better than Hot Space... One though I always had was that "You don't fool me" was also written around this time. But sources say it's during HS. What do you think? Does YDFM have that Miracle sound? |

You know, I love Scandal too, but if you've listened to the commentary of GHV2, Roger explains that he had never cared for the song, and loathed the video shoot. Almost broke my heart. Other favorites: party k-ship miracle invisible man (another rog song) was it all worth it dislikes: on the B side.....too much keyboard percussion |

The Scandal video isn't that great, I like the song but I don't like the videoclip imho ;). The Breakthru video is one of their best clips, I think. The song itself is one of their best too. |

Question; Is that orchestra part in Was It All Worth It real or just synths? |

Daniel vZ wrote: Question; Is that orchestra part in Was It All Worth It real or just synths?Yeah it's a synth, darling. Kind of like I think John said, one of the reasons they started using synths is because they developed passed the klunky monophonic moog synth heard in like 70's progressive rock, I think it was Brian who may have said the quote now lol, anyway he was like they were used just to make an odd sound or whatever and he figured he could just get whatever sound he made out of his guitar instead of using something just to make a strange sound (paraphrasing) anyway then he said they started using synths because they could sound like an entire orchestra within a keyborad. Now I think about it again, I think John may have said the quote I'm thinking about, I don't knwo lol |
