Yeah I do. I think they are very relaxing animals. When I am not feeling well I can pet a cat and it helps relieve my stress. Very smart and comforting creatures.
I've had cats for almost 20 years now and love them. Only one left now and she's 14 which is the average lifespan, though they say now that they can live 25-30 years if you're lucky.
I think the coolest thing about them is having a bit of the wild in your house. They share many of the same wild instincts with their larger wild cat counterparts.
For example, cats sleep so much in order to save up their energy for hunting food (prey). And they lick themselves clean after eating to remove traces of blood from having killed their prey so their next prey won't smell it and know that danger lurks :)
But best of all, they give fabulous massages if you're lucky enough to get them onto your back.

Think about it too. Even in entertainment...
in cartoons...only one decent dog...Scooby Doo and he gets on my nerves with his mumbling, SPEAK UP dammit!
But great cartoon cats.
