Which is the last CD/Album you have bought and why? And what is you opinion? I just bought a few days ago the Michael Hutchence album cause I've always liked his voice a lot and thought the album would be just as good as any INXS stuff, is not bad but not what I expected. |
Gunpowder Gelatine 20.07.2005 16:22 |
I just bought There Is Nothing Left To Lose - Foo Fighters because before that, I only had one album from them (The Colour And The Shape) and I love Learning To Fly, especially the video. Go to Launch or whatever and watch it...it's got Dave Grohl in drag with pigtails! (If that's not incentive, I don't know what is!) |

ColdPlay x & Y Great album P.S Anybody who pays for a CD is a mug especially when it's free. The only time I go into a record store is to get an idea of what cd album I can download next. |

Jimmi Hendrix - Smash hits Why? Because I didnt feel like buying every album to hear just the songs I wanted to hear.It just so happend that this album has every song I like on it. |
Roy Queen 20.07.2005 19:44 |
Led Zeppelin - Houses Of The Holy Why?: Because I've bought everything by Queen, and why not buy everything by Zeppelin also? And also, I love the song "Over The Hills And Far Away". |

Alternative, by Pet Shop Boys (I'm actually still waiting for it to arrive by mail) It's the only cd of theirs I still didn't have... I had forgotten all about it, even though I've had the other albums for years now. |

System of a down - System of a down System of a down - Toxicity System of a down - Steal this album Bought the three together for 25 euro's. After listening to Mesmerize I'm hooked. None of those albums is as good as their latest, but still quite a few very good tracks. |
Fenderek 21.07.2005 07:13 |
Man, listen to TOXICITY few times and you'll be hooked for good :) Love those guys- there's a track on the debut called SPIDERS. Now THAT is a song...!!! Last album I bought was rage Against The Machine's first one. I had it before but gave it to somebody and forgot who was it... And after few years I thought- I kinda want it... So there it is... |
willem-jan 8923 21.07.2005 08:34 |
I already knew the "hits" from the previous albums. Spiders is one of them. I must say I really like Toxicity. The other two are okay, but have quite a few "fillers". I also downloaded a couple of their live shows, but must say I wasn't too impressed. Saw them a month ago on the Graspop Metal Meeting (they were headlining the first day) and really liked it. Maybe that has something to do with the amount beer I consumed during the day (had to wait in line for 2,5 hours at 35 degrees C.) Anyway, kick ass band! |
dimcyril 21.07.2005 10:46 |
jake thackray live at the lobster pot. because jake writes the funniest lyrics of all time in my opinion. deliberately so i should add. for example 'ilove a good bum on a woman it makes my day, to me it is palpable proof of god's existence, a posterior, also i like breasts and arms and ankles, elbows, knees. it's the tongue the tongue the tongue on a woman that spoils the job for me.' |
Fenderek 21.07.2005 10:55 |
The beer definitely helps! :) I saw them at Reading festival 2 years ago, seond on the bill, just before Metallica. They were OK but I wasn't drinking as I was trying to avoid the toilet queues at all cost! :) Serj (vocalist) doesn't hit all the high notes very well and sometimes it was just messy... But I know they got much better nowadays. I agree- kick ass band :) |

The other day I was looking for some music that would be a fine accompaniment to a balmy, lazy summer evening, So I bought a Santana compilation and 'The Essential Sly and the Family Stone'. Both have served thier purpose very well, and the latter may remian on heavy rotation for a long time to come (wonderfully funky stuff). Also, I finally got raound to buying the Flash Gordon soundtrack, (a good 3 years after having bought the rest of Queen's studio albums). Most of it works as interesting background music (the use of dialogue from the film keeps the interest levels from dipping). Aside from the 2 'proper' songs on there (Flash's Theme and The Hero) I also really like 'Football Fight' and 'In the death cell'. |

Yesterday I bought Led Zeppelin "Early Days & Later Days" 2CD, I bought it because I've never had any of their records, so this is my first Led Zeppelin record I buy, has great songs on it like "Kashmir", "Whole Lotta Love" and of course "Stairway To Heaven"......when I heard some of the songs on this record I can see the influence they had on Queen...a couple of songs remind me a bit of Queen. |
