YV: Yet again your contributions are thankfully received, and I have edited the original thread accordingly. The problem is that not all concert bootlegs are readilly available, and I suggest that for live material, there is no better resource than Martin's Queenconcerts.com, but this is an "Ultimate Collection", so if tapes do exist, then they may well be worth searching for. Hopefully, these threads give us all something to look for. |

Excellent work by all. Thanks! One question....Has anyone heard either of the two performances of Don't Stop Me Now? Did Roger play drums on either, or on both? It was always a favorite of mine, and a modern day performance, with Bri on guitar and Roger on drums would be a gift indeed. |

Just a little correction: it was not the SAS Band performing in the Flora, Cologne - it was the German musical cast. Spike Edney was there but as far as I remember he did not perform, it was the band of the German musical. OST means Original Sound Track |

Jason Amm a.k.a. Solvent released in 2004 two 12" singles named "Radio Ga Ga", first one of them contains track calling "Radio Goo Goo". Radio Ga Ga Pt 1 - released January 20th 2004 (on Ghosty International, though my copies came from Suction Records label) My Radio (Extended Mix) My Radio (Perspects Cut-Up Mix) My Radio (Schneider TM Mustanng Remake) For You (Lowfish Remix) Radio Goo Goo Radio Ga Gag Pt 2 For You (Extended Mix) My Radio (Mitgang Audio Remix) My Radio (Legowelt's Remix) For You (ISAN's Remix) Poly Ensemble My Radio tracks contains something close to samples from Radio Ga Ga, but I ain't expert in such things, so... "Don't let the title of the two remix EPs simultaneously released by Suction Records-founding guru Jason Amm, aka Solvent, fool you. You'll find no glacially hypnotic synthpop covers of old Queen classics redefined for ecstatic noveau disco fiends still reeling over the hot heat of Scissor Sisters's raunchy electrofied take on Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb". The EP does perhaps wield an aesthetic and lyrical kinship with the 1984 classic Freddie Mercury lament, but Solvent's latest, thankfully, reaches further than the dull comfort of a novelty single. The title actually refers to the year-old Solvent track "My Radio", one of the many highlights off Ghostly International Records' excellent neo electro smorgasbord "Tangent Noveau." On that compilation, Solvent shocked his loyal listeners by investing in something that he had previously not attempted on his three previous studio albums: vocals. Sure, those vocals were done with a vocoder, but for Solvent, the change was revolutionary. The premature posturing for Warp Records executives that filled his first two albums had been completely dropped and the man was now free to focus completely on magnanimously gorgeous synthpop. It was only fitting that he should mark this transitional phase with a love song to his radio, yearning for the days when his heroes in Yaz, OMD, and the Human League could be heard with regularity across the airwaves. In "You've changed", a genuinely perturbed Asimov robot sings. Solvent followed the song with a contribution to the Morr Music Slowdive tribute "Blue Skied an' Clear", a cover of the legendary dreampop ensemble's "When The Sun Hits." Competing against a separate cover by indie darlings Múm, Solvent fired up an achingly melancholy track that owed much of its appeal to its fragile, organic and subtly inflected robot intonations. For those that think a robot cannot make you cry, I suggest you get your hands on this track and DMX Krew's "The Glass Room". Solvent appears to be laying the groundwork for his much awaited follow-up to 2001's "Solvent City". Since the time of that last full-length release, the electronic musical landscape has increasingly swayed in Solvent's favor - with practically no recognition being directed his way. Unfortunately, electroclash too absolved the mutant android voice to the point where it has come to be seen as a cliché within the genre. European and urban American DJs have coopted the sonic device as an automatic dancefloor hook. Popularized by 1980s electrofunk and early hip-hop, the now omnipresent low-end vocoder vocal heard in cuts like Debasser's "Fat Girls" is the arbiter of much Zapp and Roger styled mindless boogie, and very little soul. Anyone familiar with Solvent's back catalogue will find this no cause for alarm whatsoever. With his new romantic sensibilities and his first-class grasp of melody, Amm's decidedly loyal penchant for the timeless ensures that he and the six remixers that appear on these thematically bonded releases stay the hell away from anything resembling disposability. "My Radio" gets the royal treatment by Solvent's contemporaries in the form of some succulent new wav |

Yes it's me again, sorry. + cover Lucia Micarelli Album: Music from A Farther Room Released on December 22nd 2004 by Warner Bros. Track 12: Nocturne and Bohemian Rhapsody (4:58) "...Micarelli's playing [she's violinist - Serry] is emotional without being overreaching, assertive when called upon, and nuanced. When she does over-the-top pop on Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", it's brief but fun...". Not so funny, to be honest, but interesting. Bo Rhap's part is about 1 min only from the whole track. |
