Got over my disapointment that I am not there in person
So I am tuned into Capital Gold (Sky Radio 863) - and the DVD-R is set for 6 hrs. (I know that the video rate is not that good - but my technofile of a son assures me that the stereo sound is recorded at exactly the same rate, regardless whether the video is set at 6 hrs or 1 hr - it's only the video picture that is effected).
OK - so 6 hrs of solid queen in digital stereo sounds OK.
The problem is what the hell is happening over on Planet Rock?
I cannot record two programmes at the same time. Is it the same - or is it something completely different?
I am currenly ON Planet Rock and they are not playing the concert anywhere on their site. I am currently listening to their regular radio webcast and I put up an SOS as to if anyone knows of any website that IS currenly webcasting the Hyde Park concert live NOW!
Apparently they broadcast the QOL downloads into a bit of a Europe Live gig. No live Hyde Park 05 or HP 76 :-( Bugger. Is Capital Gold broadcasting stuff? Sod it, I'm off to watch Live And Let Die...
Barb just posted on another thread. Hyde Park is NOT being broadcast live anywhere.
Planet Rock has their own regular radio list..but...
...Everybody go to link.
I am on it and they ARE playing a live gig archive from the tour. Right now is Radio Ga Ga and I just heard Last Horizon and TATDOOL.
It's not Hyde Park...but at least it's from the tor. Wonder which gig?
Archive of AKOM now. I Want It All now.
Sheer Bullocks! I want Hyde Park DAMMIT!
Why didn't they hook up with aol like Live 8 did, some big international site seeing as this is a historic concert for Queen and we fans, and most of us around the world cannot be there.
They should have made this available LIVE today on the web for Queen fans around the world.
SHITE!
Could have grabbed it all if I weren't at work. And if I didn't have to be at work today in Washington, DC, I would have stayed in London for the concert I went there to see. BUT, it could have been a much different story for me. If I hadn't been waiting to meet up with Ianshome from QZ a week ago Thursday, I would have been on the Underground heading toward disaster. Many in London weren't as fortunate as I was on July 7th. Thanks Ian. How lucky I was to meet you at the Birmingham gig in May!
Cap Radio is definitely playing the downloads. Brian's Guitar Solo included his Blue Danube from the Vienna gig . . . brilliant!
Capitol Gold is Playing the ORIGINAL Live Aid now.
Just heard Status Quo do ''Rockin' All Over The World'',
now
Bob Geldof & The Boomtown Rats are doing ''I Don't Like Mondays''.
I really thought it was Hyde Park, especially after Brian's comment before Love Of My Life...
"Its a special day in many ways, I know, we are thinking of those we have lost and I would like to sing a song for those we have lost..."
Ah well, maybe they knew we would be there with our recorders and QP said no at the last minute. Maybe not to jepordise a future release?...

Brian say something similar in all the 3 concerts in Italy and in Basel. And if i remember in sheffield too
sorry for my english
