By spoilers, I mean tunes that, in your opinion, are completely skipable, and likely have lowered that album in your list of favourites. E.g. I absolutely adore The Works. A great feel-good, hand-tapping, sing-along album. But there's one tune I - Just - Can't - STAND on it. Keep Passing The Open Windows. Something about that tune just irks me. Ditto for Rain Must Fall on The Miracle. I love that album to bits, but RMF just messes it all up. What about you guys? Any tunes that ruined your taste for an album? |

Wow...I love She Makes Me. I usually skip All God's People, often skip Sweet Lady, sometimes skip You Don't Fool Me (why oh why is it right after Too Much Love Will Kill You?) depending on my mood and always stop it before track 13 starts. If I listen to Queen (which isn't often) I find Jesus eminently missable, not because it's a bad song exactly, just really annoying and gets stuck in my head really easily. I can feel it coming just from typing about it. I haven't listened to anything for ages and if I do it's usually when I'm doing something else like ironing so I just let it play most of the time. I don't tend to put on the ones with songs I skip if it's going to be background music. |

Queen: Jesus- the one bad song off the first album Queen II: The Loser in the End- just seems so out of place Sheer Heart Attack: Dear Friends- drags on for a very boring 2 minutes A Night at the Opera: Nothing, everything fits A Day at the Races: Nothing really out of place, but I never liked "You and I" News of the World: Almost everything about this album is excellent except the schreeching in Sheer Heart Attack and whatever the hell those sci-fi sounds are in Get Down, Make Love Jazz: the whole damn album seems thrown together The Game: Rock It and Don't Try Suicide. They both sound like they belong in a bad Broadway musical Hot Space: I guess Under Pressure because it was originally a bonus track on GHI, and Under Pressure's not crap like the rest of Hot Space The Works: Machines, gotta be one of Queen's worst A Kind of Magic: Princes of the Universe, I don't what no Highlander themes in my Queen albums The Miracle: The whole album sounds like a Queen renaissance until you hit Scandal, which is basically a bad 80s pop song Innuendo: Headlong, in one of Queen's most lyrically beautiful albums I have to hear "hoop-diddy-do"? Queen 1 + II, SHA, ANATO: nothing....okay maybe the first In The Lap Of the Gods on SHA sometimes and I'll always listen to side white before black on Queen II ADATR: Good Old Fashioned Loverboy NOTW/Jazz: nothing but sometimes Sheer Heart Attack and Get Down Make Love The Game: Nothing Hot Space - sometimes all of it...it particular Body Language, Cool Cat, Action This Day, Staying Power The Works: Nothing AKOM: Friends Will Be Friends - one of their weakest ever....Pain Is So Close To Pleasure sometimes The Miracle: Nothing although it used to be Rain Must Fall Innuendo: All Gods People sometimes and Deliliah almost all the time Made In Heaven: the remaked tracks as the brand new stuff was quite good the re-worked I Was Born To Love You, My Life Has Been Saved etc. was much weaker and since I already had other versions of the songs I couldn't get into them as much as songs on a NEW album....if they did one it should have been She Blows Hot And Cold |

'Races-Long Away- Quite boring folk-rock News Of The World- Who Needs You- I like it but it's a little pedestrian Jazz- Leaving Home Ain't Easy- A little underwhelming. Depends on your mood. The Game- Rock it- Queen's worst song, the synths are awful- there is no punch to it. Don't try Suicide is tuneles too. I don't like The Game. Hot Space- Body Language- disco gone wrong The Works- Probably Machines- it sounds of its time and is very confused structurally. 'Magic- Don't Lose Your head- No real passion or dynamism. A rockier version would be good. The Miracle-A good album but I'm not sure about Rain Must Fall- sounds a bit like Young Hearts Run Free by Candi Statton. Innuendo- All God's People- the only song I skip-it sounds rushed. Made In Heaven- My Life Has Been Saved- Just a trifle ordinary |

Well me, I don't consider an album good unless I can listen to every song. I will someimes skip songs on Queen albums only if I've heard it too much. So, if I had to pick songs I skip most, they would probably be singles as I've heard them so much. But, Queen created such an abundant amount of work, it's impossible that even every die-hard fan would enjoy every song. Oh, and Bob's bonkers if he skips "I'm In Love With My Car." Not only is the song great to listen t, it's a blast to sing and play on the axe. |
