Hey Serry, I've seen those sites before, they are great for Queen fonts, but I can never seem to notice the one on the GH2 cover. Anyone got any idea where that one can be found or what it is called? |
Penetration_Guru 09.07.2005 05:28 |
Sometimes Richard Gray (sleeve designer) changes things to make them more unique. For example The Miracle is "Flareserif", but that Q was redone. Maybe this was another example. |

'The Miracle' font is not a Flareserif. It's similar but not the same font. I've seen 'The Miracle' font was used in titles for some movies but unfortunately I can't find this font in ttf format:( Check out my research: link |

I don't know. I was wondering the same thing. For some reason they don't include it. But, they include the great day at the races and night at the opera fonts. Oh and also the news of the world and hot space fonts are nice |

I beg to differ with Flareserif. True, the font existed when Queen released The Miracle as the designer, Berthold Wolpe (link died in 1989, thus he must have created that font before then. But, being someone who has studied fonts as part of my graphic design course at university, I see far too many differences personally between the Queen logo on The Miracle album and that font. One thing that can be gathered from looking closely at The Miracle album and the related singles is that the "Queen" logo font differs to the font used for the album/single title. The closest, and I'm almost certain is the actual, font I have found that is used on the title for the albums/singles is "ITC Elan" link . "Queen", on the other hand, I have discovered to have a very close likeness to the Friz Quadrata font link which I feel is very similar apart from very minor modifications to the "N" in "Queen". As you can see, it does bear great similarities to ITC Elan, but most of the character do have distinct differences. Personally, I feel these two fonts are far far closer to the real font than Flareserif, but I'm happy to be corrected if someone can find a closer match |

The Miracle fonts are mix between Elan and Fitz Quadrata (Law & Order US tv show) |
