There's been a MAJOR terrorist attack today in London.
At least 33 are dead and 90 wounded.
And all I keep seeing on these forums is "OMG HYDE PARK GIG CANCELLED" "WILL IT STILL GO ON?" "STAY POSTED FOR MORE INFO."
People have lost their lives and others gravely wounded and a whole bunch of you are only concerned about a fucking rock concert.
I mean, I can understand concern on how to reschedule your plans, what to do, etc. I fully see why you'd wanna ask/talk about it.
But with a lot of you, that's ALL you're talking about and showing VERY little remorse or sorrow for innocent people who have lost their lives at the hands of extremists.
I'm not even British, but I feel the sadness and loss just the same, just as Britain, France and all of Europe felt our pain when the same terrorists crashed into our towers and killed nearly 3,000 innocent people.
So show some respect and dignity when inquiring about a leisure event like a rock concert--something so trivial in the face of such a horrific tragedy.
People have lost their lives and others gravely wounded. If the concert would not have been called off, it would be opposite irreverent the victims! It is shifted only on next week.

The fact that few people replied to this topic should tell you about the majority of the people at this forum... Obsessed with Queen to the point of not caring about anything else. Scary.
But actually, now that we're on the topic... I was planning on taking a vacation to Europe, and ending it with the concert at Hyde Park. So, not only could I have been killed while there, but had I survived, I would have definitely missed the concert, because my flight would have been the next day... I would have felt the worst disappointment of my life! It's a strong possibility I'd be on public transit at that hour. Glad I didn't go.
At first I wanted to say that I hope all QZers and their families are okay, but no, a life is a life, regardless if you know them or not.
Well said, QueenZeppelin.
I was aiming for the same point with my short, sarcastic post earlier, but I think the meaning was lost to many of the people here.
The terrorist acts themselves were disgusting enough on their own, but the reaction here has been nearly as shocking in the utter lack of compassion displayed.
What a sad display of the shallowness of some people's hearts.
