I found this old mix on an old tape of mine and thought that you guys might like to have it.
Please note that this is not a fanmix so that is why I never put it on that section, it was a mix (originally called a 'beatmix' back in the day) done by a DJ called Alan "The Judge" Coulthard for the Disco Mix Club and was released on a DJ Only label. This was originally broadcast on Radio 1 on the Annie Nightingale show (I think) during the mid 80's which is where I recorded it from. As this is from an old tape there is some hiss on it and there is just a tiny little bit missing from the start - a couple of seconds I think. So what you hear is what I've got basically
The MP3 itself lasts for nearly 14 minutes and is encoded at 320K and is 32MB in size.
Enjoy!! link
the mix would have been better I think when Queen and Bowie tracks were more woven into each other, now it's more a part with Queen, a part with Bowie and then Under Pressure.
But thanks anyway! I did not have this one yet.
To add a little more info...
Queen And David Bowie Megamix: Released in 1984
US DJ Hot Tracks Club DMC Remix (A. Coulthard Discomix)
12"/MC Radio Ga Ga/ Another One Bites The Dust/ I Want To Break Free/ Under Pressure... etc
In mint condition the 12" can fetch between £35 - 50.00, the one-tracked MC (Same track on both sides) between £18 - £40.00
Oddly enough, the cassette versions (though worth less financially) are usually in a far better playing condition, because these were disco mix club (DMC) subscription releases only - and the vinyl versions (by comparison) were played to death.

I agree that it would have suited the mix better had the songs been 'woven' into each other. But that said its not that bad considering that this was well before the days of say Fatboy Slim and the like. And bear in mind that the technology used obviously wasnt anything like todays standard.
Feel free to put this on your site, Rien

Thanks for the info, John. Now I can date the file accurately.

You want DJ's with sense ? No chance, they just care about the money - any one can play records, it take a special idiot to muddle them up

Does anyone else have access to this? I DJ friiend of mine loved the one that I also taped off Annie's show. The rapidshare and youssendit here no longer work sadly. would love to get the full highquality version. Mark (@Mark_Beech on twitter)
**Thanks very much Dysan.** This is very similar to my cassette taping but you have done the work and made it digital so thanks. If anyone has a cleaner one, even better. It's funny hearing Annie's outro, which I have played so many times. If only she knew how those words have been played over many decades.. My DJ friend (Xara Quattro) heard my tape and thought it could be a floor filler
Kudos to Mr Mercury for the original up. I'm tempted to reconstruct it - it's just finding the time! Impressed that Shake It by Bowie is on there - shows how huge his Let's Dance album was then.
