I was there and I'm just back home. It was a very powerful and strong concert a bit different to the feel of the indoor shows like Dortmund. Paul showed much more courage and talked a lot to the audience. He seemed to be much more self-confident. Paul started to interact by his own improvisations with the audience in open way. The show was right from the start a burner including I WANT TO BREAK FREE with this wonderful solo. Brian's playing on WISHING WELL was partly very hard und angry. ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST sounded vocal wise very much like the wembley 86 version with the same sing a longs etc., a true highlight. The accustic set was as usually and Brian looked very moved after LOVE OF MY LIFE. Roger did well on I'M IN LOVE WITH MY CAR, FEEL LIKE MAKIN'LOVE was perfect and the guitar solo not so long. The disco-ball by LAST HORIZON looked kitschig. Even A KIND OF MAGIC surprisingly worked well thias night. I WANT IT ALL with a furious double solo from Jamie and Brian. Very nice to see and hear good old missed Freddie by BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY on the large extra screens beside the stage. THE SHOW MUST GO ON sounded very strong this day. The Cast has by WWRY and WATC only danced, not performed anything vocally. Only the last songs had been played after sunset. The show finshed about 22.20 pm. All in all it was a great modern times Queen concert, with heart, rock and soul. It is a Pity, that they changed so less in the set-list and that Under Pressure was not played. Also Brian fooled the audience wiith a kind of NOW I'M HERE Intro at one point of the show, that was frustating. The stadium looked 3/4 of the show only half filled, towards the end the number increases (weird?!) on the left tribune. But I doubt there were in the stadium more than 30.000 people. There was no support act. Sorry for my not so perfect English... |

and Roger said before this tour started that they were going to have a rolling set list... if it's rolling, it's in slow motion.... |

Hey Knebworth! It WAS the best show so far... in my opinion ;-) I really enjoyed it! Paul interacted a lot more and in a lot braver way indeed. The band played really great and the concert was pretty long too: 2 hours and 20 minutes i think. I loved the fact that this was a big concert (with video screens etc.) it seems to do the queen songs more justice in a way. The band seemed to enjoy the show as well. I really enjoyed the meeting before and after the show! Cheers to everyone i met! I really enjoyed it a lot!! See you in Waalre! |

I wish they'd throw in a surprise here or there...I don't expect anything big or groundbreaking or straying too much from the hits...but "Now I'm Here" in place of "A Kind of Magic" or something...I think "Now I'm Here" and "Keep Yourself Alive" would fit Paul's voice absolutely perfectly...and I think that Hammer to Fall should remain a balls-out rocker. That was always a highlight of latter-day Queen concerts and to have half of it be a ballad just takes away from it's power...it used to be a guaranteed live ass-kicker and now it's been reduced to semi-ballad with a kinda-hard rock part midway through. |

Hi all! I was also there and I must say...It was one of the worst concerts I've seen. But this not because of Queen. They really had a much better sound as Dortmund and their playing was great. They harmonised perfctly and always tried to get the audience waking up. But this big stadium just 3/4 filled looked sad. Also people at the seated areas did not really participate on the concert. They just sat around and watched. After Radio GaGa they started to move a little....but not to compare with the indoor-shows. Brian had to sing 39 all alone...I felt noone took part...same with Love of my life. When Paul entered the stage and they started Tie your .... no one got up from the seat. I really felt strange. So don't get me wrong. The sound and the show was absolutely great...but the Cologne audience...:-( |

Freddie 1972....the cologne audience was right ok....don´t know which concert you have seen, it was perfect... Ok, the setlist was the same like much concerts before, but the sound was excellent. I was standing with my wife left to the catwalk. After one hour it was raining so that Brian didn´t have the cance to come to front, but Paul did it...very great to do that i think....After playing "love of my life", Brian said it is especially for Freddie, he was going on the catwalk, his face looks very sadly and i think to see have tears running...We were standing not more than 2 meters away from the catwalk. And after singing Say it is not true Roger was going back to his drums, somebody throw a condom to the catwalk, Roger was laughing. Differently to Dortmund i saw much more young people, so the Queen spirit goes on through every ages. And i have to change my opinion about Paul Rodgers. He was great, he was perfect. He is not Freddie and could never replaced Freddie. But what he did is ok... To Freddie 1972, the stadium couldn´t filled up to 100% ´cause nobody could see anything behind the lighting which was standing in the middle of the field. Some seats were empty, perhaps 200/300, but i think you could find these tickets in ebay or on the black market. Cheers Tirex |

@ The Miracle: Yes you're right..that was a big mistake...never erver again...Next time (I hope this happens), Infield will rule..:-) @ tyrex: on hopefully soon posted pics you will see that the upper seats opposit the stage were totally empty...and the comment with "not seeing 'cause of speakertowers..." I don't know...will then a stadium-concert never be "really sold out"? I think you are right with ebay...maybe too many sellers wanted to make fast money...obviously it didn't work... @ all: don't get me wrong...the concert was great..I loved it and the band was magnificant...but from my point of view the "seated" audience was crap...sorry for that hard words but maybe my impression of Dortmund is too strong. There everyone was standing from the very beginning up to the end. But..it's my personal opinion..:-) |

It was great ! A dream come true and the band was in great shape. Paul Rodgers has a stunning voice and performs with a lot of respect for the Queen material. The audience in the infield was great, the seated audience needed a while, but from Ga-ga on they were as enthusiastic as the rest. Consider several things: it was within the week - many people turned up shortly before the show, right after work. But a lot of people don't go to concerts during the week. It was raining. And very important: it was the start of summer holidays in northrine-westphalia. So it was quite a bad timing for the concert, and thus I consider 30.000 a big crowd ! It was simply a FANTASTIC show, and from what I've seen, Rog and Bri and Paul enjoyed themselves. |

In Lisbon it was fun to watch the seated audience as most of them waved their lighten cell phones, lighters and flash lights during some of the songs ( Love of my life, champions, rock). I have some short video clips from the Lisbon concerts, but the quality is no good and it takes some time to upload (which I haven't had). And I don't even know where to upload to... |

Just woke up from a long night sleep after the cologne show... Yes, it was a great show... It was my first 'seated' queen experience and it was nice to look at the show from a distance for a while. Too bad the show wasn't sold out, there were many plaes left, mainly on the east tribune, but also some on the north and a few on the west. The Arena wasn't ompletely filled as wel, maybe 3/4. Where are al those german fans?? But nonetheless, about 30.000 people going crazy on a Queen concert gives me the shivers anyway. Audience on the tribunes DID participate, with radio Gaga everybody was standing and clapping along where we were. |

Leon, are you getting my e-mails??? Indeed the setlist was boring. Indeed the weather was horrible ;-) But both of them did not keep us from having one of the greatest nights of our lives! The band played THAT well that we forgot about all this. |

For anyone who didn't watched the Auto Cue right after Love of my Life. When brian sang the last words of Love of my Life you could see the words "Is this the World We Created" on the bottom of the auto-cue. So my guess is that they made the auto cue for the stadium gigs. So i think they will play it in Arnhem. I'm NOT kidding! |

Another great show and another night out with cool, fun loving Queen fans. We had a fantastic time and I am really sorry it's over for now. What was the deal with the WWRY cast jumping around on the cat walk/stage to WWRY and WATC? Not that we needed them to perform anything but this zero-performance does not count as a support act or special guest, sorry. It was just a cheap promotion stunt. |

Boring setlist, no changes. Band in perfect shape except for Brian fucking up the beginning of I Want To Break Free. Audience - hard to say. Some people say the Cologne audience was really bad, on the other hand I saw a lot of people clapping hands and singing along. Pity that one third of the stadium was empty. Weather - this was my first seated gig so I didn't care about the rain :-) I parked my car right besides the four Queen limousines, that was really cool :-) After the gig we were forced to leave the garage though because Queen were leaving the stadium quite early :-( Luckily we got some autographs at the hotel. Paul Rodgers surprisingly enough refused to sign anything (he's normally very kind and always willing to meet the fans) and Roger decided to enter through the underground garages to avoid meeting the fans (no surprise). Other band members were very kind. Cologne - I don't think I ever got lost more than in Cologne. We had our hostel just 5 min. away from the band's hotel but it still took us over one hour to get there! We were cruising the city in circles and swearing. So many one-way streets etc. And we didn't have a detailed map, of course :-) |

You should be attending the Lisbon concert, it was just like Brian said- LISBON ROCKS. I mean it, we sang every single song. You just can't let Brian sing 39 and Love of my live by himself. It's a sin!!! Let me tell you, when Love of my life started the Portuguese crowd started to sing after the first phrase on the guitar (as you know Brian has to repeat the phrase and only then we can start singuing). Everybody knew they were out of time, but because a few started to sing everyone else joined them because we wanted to be heard. So, Brian repeated the phrase and then he smiled and told the crowd that now we could sing, so we started everything again. Pure joy!!! IN '39 i noticed that Brian wasn't shore if the crowd knew the song, so when he started the chorus it was just amazing, he only sang a few lines until all the crowd took the vocals. It was fantastic and i really hope that they put the highlights of the open air gigs at the upcomong DVD's. The diference between Portugal and Germany might be the whether and the day. In Portugal it was saturday with great whether, so the crowd was more relaxed. Take care |

Cologne was my first Queen Concert and it was great. I had a seat on the east side (on the block near the field). The block was full before the concert started. I don't know how full the higher blocks on the east side were. The west side needed some time to become full. It needed quite some time until the good atmosphere from the infield went over to the seated places. The people were very restless and went in and out again, to get something to drink and to eat. (Radio GaGa was the start and then we were standing until the end of the concert) Also many people had problems to find their seats, during a football game the security works much better and guides the people to their seats. I was wondering why the concert was not solded out. I bought my card at the end of March and at that point I had not much choice (only infield, north and a few cards on the east and west blocks). |
