So it might asswel be his statue. They should forbid nonactive arguments.
BTW the statue sucks. Freddie's head doesn't look like Freddie

I don't know if you realise, but making a statue, let alone a life-like one, is very difficult. Give the sculptor SOME credit!

John has got such hairstyle after 1992 year.
And besides - read the MIH sleeve. ''Scuplture by Irena Sedlecka''.... Means something, doesn't?

05.07.2005 05:47 It's a small replica of the statue actually.

Yeah it's difficult, if you haven't got talent.

Shut up! It's a great statue.

06.07.2005 11:25 Don't tell GaLiLe0 they 'faked' another cover!

06.07.2005 12:12 I remember when the album first came out and I watched the cover on the poster of a record store, I got the chills.

06.07.2005 12:21 I like both versions of this sleeve - sunrise and sunset. It has special deep meaning.

06.07.2005 15:20 Yes it's the statue.. if you look closer...you see it's not a human being that is being photographed :P

06.07.2005 22:56 Wow. I can't believe all this time that I've had Made In Heaven I always thought it was really Freddie. I just read this post and then looked at the cover. I never noticed that before.

08.07.2005 18:42 the gatefold lp is breath-taking, the statue definitely has a whiff of Freddie

It's okay, it took me awhile as well. I only really noticed it when I looked at an album cover which was a lot lighter so the statue actually looked like bronze. My CD cover is a lot darker so you can't see the bronziness as well and it looks like a silhouette really.
It made a lot of sense when I realised it was the statue, though :-)

10.07.2005 09:44 heh...actually, i saw a picture of the cover online and i thought it was really Freddie...then i got the actual album and looked closely at it and was like "oh...it...isnt...ok..." but i still get like all emotional when im actually listening to "Too Much Love Will Kill You" and am looking at the cover......hell, i get all emotional anyway when i hear that song...beautiful, but sad.

11.07.2005 17:11 You guys who thought that was really Freddie on the front cover are kidding aren't you?.....arent you?....C'mon surely you really didn't think it was really him??

11.07.2005 20:14 The statue isn't actually anywhere near the background shown, although both are in Montreux. I think that the statue was photographed in some random field and then superimposed on the background.

13.07.2005 20:18 I think it's so incredible that some didn't figure out it was a statue! I realised it was since the first time I saw the cover and still makes me shiver when I see It. If you missed this I think you missed the whole cover concept, which lies on the fact that that's evidently a statue: Freddie IS now Legend which will live forever in history. Wow, it moves me even when I talk about it. :)
cheers
