just wondering if anyone else ever noticed this...in the 'acapella' part of the Prophet's Song, right where Freddie starts the 'now I know's, you can just hear a piano note (or bass maybe?) in the background....and you can hear it on the echo repeats as well..........perhaps it was sort of a guide, so Freddie would be on the right note, and they couldnt quite edit it out?
and I cant remember exactly where, but I swear I've heard the same thing on some live recordings of the 'vocal improvisations' and such.....
I think I hear something very very not loud, when the second set of Now I know begins, but I'm not sure if that a bass note... otherwise I can't hear anything else than Freddie's voice in the set. So, what I hear is that the bass note ?

That's what I say. "The Prophet's Song" might be the weird thing itself you are talking about like CrAzY! Good song though! Took a few listening to's but it is good!
Its just the kind of that someone who's listened to the song about a million times would notice :).....heh heh...........
in a semi related note......I forget what Stevie Ray Vaughan song it was (something from the Couldnt Stand The Weather album for sure) I thought I could hear what sounded like a car horn in the background....lol
'guides' were used extensively on ANATO - Brian even identifies a few on Bo Rhap documentary (i think it's on GVH1 )....the technology at the time meant you couldn't remove them, but if you had a good enough stereo you could just about hear them....nowadays, thanks to the smaple-rates of modern cd players you can hear almost every 'glitch'
the first batch of early beatles released in the mid-80s had loads on them....again because of the 60s technology - you could hear mics being bumped into and some off-mic vocals
