Man they where great. I hope this DVD will be released soon. It really was a grande finale. That they even managed to fly to Hyde Park man. Whenn they came on stage with Robbie Williams playing we will rock you. the croad went crazy. and Brian's short message "See you soon".
So when Pink Floyd left the stage, I mean like they enterd. And the impact. I mean that guitar riff of Tie Your Mother Down. The hole croad seemed to move. And Brian's voice wasn't that bad. I mean that ending. I must convess I was a little scared whenn the piano started to play the intro of STL. I mean I was so totally scared Brian nor Roger could reach the high notes. And just that moment. George Michael came. I mean just like 13 years ago. It was utter fantastic. He did it as good as 13 years ago. And to my pleasant surprise George Michael stayed. And am i the only one who couldn't believe his/her eyes whenn Bowie enterd the stage? I mean that duet. GOLD, no PLATINUM. it was THE ultimate performance that night. And they tuned over to the show must go on. George Michael's intention. I mean he gave such a spectacular performance. I mean who could possibly not think of Freddie that moment? And ending with paul Mc Cartney behind the piano doing WATC. And the hole LIVE 8 cast tuning in. Brilliant BRILLIANT.
Can't wait till the DVD release.
See... I missed live8 today for my mate's engagement party and your post had me, hook line and sinker. I thought, wow, maybe I missed something great. And then it was all debunked. Thanks a lot... not.
Peace,
Adam.

Look beyond it.
But you just can't see the second thaught can you?
And I am not going to explain the real thaught to people foolish enough not to search one.
I was really disappointed that Queen missed Live 8 completely. Even if they wouldn't tour this year, they should have been there.
I don't understand why they didn't participate in that event. Any explanations?

I was either disappointed.
There's kinda explanation on his soapbox. He did salut Sir Bob Geldof and all the artists in Live 8 world wide.
But to me that wasn't enough... :(

And the worst thing about it, it will not reach its goal. Because G8 people like Bush or Putin, or Berlusconi won't give a penny for the Third World. They're not real politicians but puppets of big multinational companies whose interests are even opposite to the Live 8 ones.

they said it was as they were playing in Lisbon. People have pointed out that Elton John and U2 were playing elsewhere on the same day, but they made sure they were at the beginning of the running order so they could get away. I expect it would've been harder for Queen if they were on later in the day to get over to lisbon in time for the soundcheck etc.
