I think I previously reached as far as 2001. Now, I just want to quickly pass over the last few years before returning to the 1980's and '90's. (The 1970's should be available under the search feature as - Ultimate Collection). I apologise for any careless omissions or errors in advance, but please feel free to contribute and to push the boundries forwards. That ''Dynamite With A Laser Beam'' is THE worst Queen covers album I have ever heard. Sadly it is listed on iTunes as well... (And no, I did not buy it) |

Alex: You are correct. Another cut 'n paste error I'm afraid - but I have edited accordingly. Bit of a bugg*r though - as I did proof-read before I posted - and still didn't notice it! |

"If We Believe" was released on the limited edition signed and hand numbered singles (1000 copies, first one of them was signed by Brian and Lynn), proceeds were sent to Mercury Phoenix Trust and to memorial fund of Connor Ruscoe. However the album release contains remixed and re-sung version of the song. "He is a dream to work with - super nice and, of course, super talented, as we all know," Lynn said, "I'm very lucky to know him and been able to have the great opportunity to work with him. Queen fans, I'd also like to mention, are just the most wonderful fans, and quite a few of them have discovered me due to my association with Brian. I feel blessed and honored to have the association with him that I do." Brian also played and sung on "We Belong" track (written by Eric Lowen and Dan Navarro) from that album (it's already available for pre-sale). "I have decided at this time to dedicate a blog to the subject of the Pat Benatar song "We Belong", sincethe word has been getting around lately that I have recorded it recently. This is the"hit 80's era"song I spoke of (but didn't name)in an earlier blog that Queen guitarist, Brian May, graciously came down to the studio andplayed guitar and sang background vocals on (in the middle of a major North Americantour with Queen & Paul Rodgers, no less!).In addition to "We Belong", Brian also plays guitar and sings background vocals onone of my own songs ("If We Believe"). <...> Of course, you'd expect that by my putting one of the most well-known Rock guitarists in music history on it extensively, now wouldn't you? ;-) We also added a little solo section into the arrangement of the song for Brian to play over (the original has no lead guitar section, as you may recall) and Brian plays some very tasteful lead guitar on the out chorus of the song, as well. Below is a pic from the day we recorded Brian's, Eric's and Dan's parts in the studio ~ April 4th, 2006 ~ and what a great day it was!!" Danny Miranda also appears on the album.
