Yoopers are people from upper Michigan, while trolls are under the Macinack (sic) bridge in lower Michigan.
The upper peninsula of Michigan is peaceful and beautiful with mostly forest on rolling hills, and has extensive shoreline on lake Superior and lake Michigan.
I spent over 2 years in upper Michigan getting my masters degree in metallurgical engineering at Michigan Technological University. One winter there had 300 inches of snow.
Q - What do you call summer in the UP (upper peninsula)?
A - Six weeks of bad skiing.
