Tonight is the first night I'll be directing the church's bell choir. I'm a bit nervous, as it will be my first time not directing little kids or my peers. The person closest to my age is probably about ... 20 years older than me.
I used to play in this choir, so I know how things work, but ... it's an entirely different thing when you're leading, being the only person in that role. I should get comfortable with it soon. I'll just be repeating myself if I say I'm nervous again (but I really am). :S :)
I'm getting paid for it anyway!
Good luck sweetie! You could try the old chestnut 'imagine evryone else is in their underwear' but personally (quite surprisingly) i've never found it works! I have performed in front of some people and i was, to put it mildly, crapping myself. Just take some deep breaths, smile and most importantly enjoy yourself, it'll all be over in a flash!:D

Whatever she said to you, you deserved it. Victoria doesn't say it unless it needs to be said. If you don't want to wish her well, then kindly avoid the topic and don't act like a rude 14 yr old...wait.....you....are???
lol, William.
Thank you all.
It's mostly older women, so I don't want to picture them naked. It is also for that reason that this also applies for William's suggestion (have to save that for when it counts). ;)
I'll let you know how it goes! Thank you, again. :)
Deception! Miscommunications!
I went down and set everything up on my own. Noticed everyone was at least ten minutes late, so I called one of the members, to find they're not doing it over the summer. (Gee, thanks for telling me, guys). :P Unclear communications like this have happened before in this group. The old director is a bit absent minded. Anyhow, I decided while I was down there, I'd take advantage of having the beautiful piano they have there and played a bit on that. Can't let the evening go to waste!
Argh! So apparently, things don't kick up til September. The way people kept saying, ''See you Thursday!'' sure made it seem I was going to see them THIS Thursday. The old director even offered to come down tonight incase I had a qualm or a question (which I declined, as I am fully capable of running the show). Offered for TONIGHT. We talked on the phone last night, and that's what he said. Argh!
I thank you all again for your support. Perhaps we'll try this again in two months.
