Just in case anyone is interested it appears that Katie Melua is releasing a DVD on Monday.
Katie Melua - On the Road again.
Why do I mention this you ask.
Well apparently disc 2 will contain her performance of Too Much Love Will Kill You with Queen at the 46664 Fancourt Concert earlier in the year.
Just thought I would post it to let everyone know in case they are interested.
Personallly I am going to give it a miss as I already have a copy of the whole Queen+PR(+KM) set recorded from the TV.
PS. It also claims to have footage of 5 songs from 100 different camera angles.
Wow!
Talk about covering the bases. They must have given everyone in the audience a camera
Thanks for mentioning but I'm definately going to miss this one. Her performance sucked big time. It's a shame what she's done to this song. If I were Brian I would have kicked her of the stage.
Same here. I remember being online that day and my own thoughts which were that she butchered the song with an emotionally flat, whining interpetation. And those sentiments were matched by alot of people on QZ that day when we were all chiming in collectively during the webcast.
<font color=#FF399> Linda Of The Valley wrote: don't think I heard it. But I presume everyone flamed her before they even heard the song, yes?
I don’t care what everyone say it was a fantastic, it sounded flat (and it worked really well with the song) cos she a jazz/blues singer not and rock singer
I saw her in February in a small venue and I thought she was fantastic live. Really enjoyed the performance. Haven't seen the stuff from Fancourt though.
