A Child Dies
Everyone always turned their back
Even when they heard him cry,
To the sounds of violence from that shack
They closed their ears when they walked by.
It's not our problem you could hear them say
When the child would ask for help,
They just walked away on that day
Even when on his chin they saw the welt.
Everyone knew just what he did
When he got home from that bar.
Toys on the floor, a mess on the bed,
A little spanking suddenly gone too far.
One night the sad cry was silenced.
No one had the chance to say goodbye.
Maybe if someone could stop the violence
No more children would have to die.
(lights up a zippo lighter)
When the children cry let them know we tried
When the children fight let them know it ain't right
When the children pray let them know the way
Cause when the children sing then the new world begins
When a child dies
Rip out his eyes
Sell them to strange guys
Or bake them into pies
To serve with chicken thighs
And a platter of French Fries
But that may increase your size
If you want to be wise
Watch out for eye-stealing spies
Who will tell a lot of lies
And always wear a diguise
As soon as you get your supplies
You must arise
This is all I advise
To protect his eyes
When the child dies

Finally, proof that you don't even read the posts...
I did NOT make that poem, my dad did, and posted it on here to see what you thought of it. Not one good, or for that matter, 'decent' comment has been made about neither my poorly written poem or the poem that is on this thread.
I did not read your post because you have lost my respect. Though no one is allowed to envoke your freedom of speech, no one is allowed to envoke my freedom to not listen. I no longer see fit that I should waist my time reading what you, amadeus, have to say. You seem to have the same regard for my posts.
And if you'll note, I only responded to what was said by Alex.
