I thought your body was supposed to fall apart with old age, starting at 40 or so. So how is it that after seeing so many fantastic drum solos by RT during the Queen tours, how is it that at 56(i think) I see him live and he seems to not only be up to speed but physically more proficient than ever?!!?
Michael Jordan scored 40 points at age 40 after years of retirement.
Elmore Leonard writes his best novels in his 70s and 80s.
George Foreman regained the heavyweight title at 45.
Nolan Ryan threw a no-hitter at 41.
None of this is as impressive to me as how superior Taylor has become at 56.
I used to think of RT as one of the greatest drummers, doing the best he can within his abilities but not as talented with ability as say Neil Perret(Rush guy, don't know how to spell his last name) or Rick Allen before the accident or Budgie or John Bohnam. After seeing him live in England, I can say that none of those guys have shit on Taylor. My friend was arguing that great drumming is being able to drum fast but proficient with perfect rhythm and the ability to change styles. Not only did Taylor do all of that but he somehow changed from one beat to another without any kind of crossover hitch. It was a perfect morphing without flaw and with a high, physically challenging speed.
Bravo, Roger! Show these young drummers of today how it's done!
Anyone who saw the tour agree with me on this, or am I full of crap???
P.S. Ironically, at the same time RT's voice, which I'm often dissapointed in live, was better than I ever heard, even on his albums where his voice was always magnificent.
Jeez . . . Elmore Leonard's that old?
Roger Taylor never ceases to amaze me. Seemed to have a stripped-down drum kit this time out, but man, what he DOES with it! He has always had an endless supply of energy, onstage anyway, ;-)
All hail Roger Taylor, one cool dude.
No one will turn this perverted, we are more mature than that I hope.
Having said that, if I was with Roger, he would no longer need toilet paper. Thats right. Everytime he took a crap, yep, I'd eat the butt.
I know I am not the only guy/girl here that would eat that sexy Roger head to toe.
I don't care if he is morbidly obese now, I'd still do it!

Are you calling our ''Rodgie´´ fat?! ;P
He´s in fine shape for somebody of his age, the drumming seems to keep him fit!
-go Roger, you rock!
