i know it's been a week since the concert, but i've been off-line since and now couldn't find anyone writing anything about it here, so would like to ask if anyone has been to that concert? i have and loved every minute of it and particularly those when rog was on stage. i've tried to upload some pictures to the galler, have to wait and see if it works out.
Radio Ga Ga (vocals)
Say It's Not True (vocals)
These Are The Days Of Our Lives (vocals)
Rock'n'Roll (vocals)
Under Pressure (vocals)
The Show Must Go On (drums)
We Will Rock You (drums)
We Are The Champions (drums)
With A Little Help From My Friends (drums)
did you go to that concert Serry? could you remind me all the songs that all the other singers sung, as I cannot remember (or maybe you know where I should look for the set list)?
it's hard to come up with a review of the gig after a very long week has passed, but what I can say is that a) the gig was great some 150 minutes of excellent music and everyone - and visibly everyone on stage - having lots of fun, b) Rog was the star of the night - he was billed first and most people seemed to have come to the gig for him (he performed as the last singer, before the finale and during Paul Young's performance you could hear people shouting for rog, which I thought wasn't very nice), I thought Under Pressure sung with Chris Thompson REALLY rocked, DOOL was great - no prerecorded drums this time, same goes for Ga Ga. WWRY and WATC were erally cool and funny, everyone on stage had had their share of the local wine by this time and they were in great moods and goofing around c) quite imporantly - rog got rid of that terrible haircut he had during the spring tour ;)
as for the photos, if you send me your e-mail, i'll send you some, as my uploading doesn't seem to be a success
sorry for the lenghty post

Don't be sorry about it. I enjoyed reading it since it's the first post about this gig and I am happy someone did!
Some more details UP was sung by Roger and Chris Thompson, TSMGO by Chris, WWRY by Midge Ure, WATC and With A Little Help... - all star finale performance.
No I don't have pics, sorry
I am sorry about the picture upload. Your pics are there but I cannot validate them, there is a server error message. As soon as the page works, I'll validate them.
WWRY was in fact sung by everyone, as was WATC - it was very funny, Fish and Midge Ure came out with their shares of lyrics written on little sheets of paper
@garden gnome 05: Thank you for sending me the pictures. They are great. Thanks again for sharing!

Great photos. Thanks.
Roger looks quite dashing and dapper in his stylish suit!
Looks like he lost some weight too. He looks great and seems to be throughly enjoying himself at the concert!
glad you like the pictures.
i have no idea as to how many people were in there, it certainly wasn't sold out (there was some football game that day that most men probably chose to see), but there were enough of us to create a nice atmosphere AND the fact that there weren't that many people meant that i could have a wonderful place just in front of the stage.
rog didn't look too fat or anything, but he does need to work on his charisma on stage a bit - he seems a bit intimitated when standing in front of the stage and not being able to hide behind the drums, not moving much (which combined with the jacket with gold buttons made him appear not very "rock'n'roll"... ;)) but i still loved his performance and i think everyone did.
