OK...we've given enough coverage to the testosterone of rock...now let's have some GIRL power RIOT GIRLS!!!! Stevie Nicks for me Hands down...''Edge of Seventeen''..love when she goes..ooooooohhhhhh, aaaaahhhhhhh, to the guitar riff. F**ked UP! She also plays...guitar, piano, writes all her own music and put the MAC back into Fleetwood mac with...Dreams, Sara, Gold Dust Woman. Her solo stuff...Leather and Lace, Stand Back, Gold and Braid |

Bob The Shrek wrote: Pat Benatar in leather trousers - I'd sell my own mother for that ;-)I know guys think she's hot..but she has chipmunk teeth. I mean she makes Freddie's overbite look straight and perfect. Has the woman ever thought of BRACES! |
Bob The Shrek 22.06.2005 12:04 |
Who's looking at her teeth? LMAO |

Bob The Shrek wrote: Who's looking at her teeth? LMAOWell..then...maybe the men of QZ can NOW FINALLY UNDERSTAND why we ladies of QZ think Freddie is HOT...regardless of his overbite. Same deal. he was GORGEOUS and Built like a brick...you get the idea! BTW..as women go, I personally think Stevie Nicks is BEAUTIFUL/GORGEOUS, in a classy, ethereal way, and she has real taste in fashion. Alot of the clothes/costumes she's worn are in the same vein of Freddie's 70's Zandra Rhodes period. Flowing, chiffon with rhinestones, ballet slippers, arm length gloves. Real class. |
Robin 22.06.2005 13:21 |
I think Stevie Nicks is very pretty but I can't stand her voice. Pat Benatar was trained in opera and switched to rock. She has an amazing voice and range. Love her. |

Pat rules! one of my favorite female artist besides D. Harry from Blondie |

Neither. |

''none of that gypsy shite'' SCUSE me, but Stevie Nicks and Freddie weren't too diffrent. If you read my earlier post, Stevie Nicks' style, image, costumes, are very reminiscent of Freddie in his early to mid 1970's Zandra Rhodes days. Stevie wears flowing chiffon, ballet slippers, arm length gloves, dances on stage and is a real show-woman live on stage. (Sound familiar!!! HMMM) |
iron eagle 22.06.2005 19:43 |
SCUSE me but my comment had nothing to do with yours....you think and post what you want-- and so will i so please no inquiry about if i read your post egh? oh and one last thing-- IMO Freddie could dance circles around Ms Stevie--live, in the studio ,where ever different strokes for different folks young lady |
Megamike The GREAT 22.06.2005 19:46 |
Pat Benatar RULES... I love her voice, very strong and demanding, and WOW.. at her current age she STILL is hot.. of course I still think Lita Ford was better.. but that is my opinion. |

"We all know what YOU are gonna say, and quite frankly, you're pretty much alone about that. You're a No Doubt fan, we're not." - Where in my statement of "neither" did I say that YOU all are No Doubt fans? Oh, that's right...nowhere. Actually, I would have probably voted for Blondie, as she is a classic female rock star. But you made an incorrect assumption, now didn't you? Geez. |

I love them BOTH! And I love Stevie Nicks as a singer (actually she is a little loopy as a person though, she really does believe she is a Welsh witch...OOOhhhhh eerie sound!) But what a voice. And she plays guitar, piano. She composes all her solo songs and alot of Fleetwood Mac's best songs too, like Dreams, Landslide, Silver Springs, etc. |
iron eagle 22.06.2005 21:19 |
well alrighty then... my apologies i took it the wrong way |

You go Mandy! Blonde rules!! I can never stop listing to "Call me" only ear surgey stopped me...lol |
Erin 22.06.2005 21:55 |
I love it on School of Rock when Jack Black puts on Edge of Seventeen and dances to the table. I have to admit, mostly when I hear that guitar riff I think of Bootylicious now..*LOL* |
doremi 23.06.2005 13:42 |
The guitar player on that is the ever so talented Waddy Wachtel. Fantastic guitarist. |
The Fairy King 23.06.2005 14:16 |
Pat Benetar! She's pretty ^.^ and has a great voice. |
deleted user 24.06.2005 20:19 |
Ah. So my opinion should effect you in what way, Thomasquinn? I am lost on the fact as to why you are attacking me for such a ridiculous issue as which female rock star I think should be the lady of rock. Chill out, for goodness' sake! |
deleted user 25.06.2005 20:44 |
Wow, didn't mean to be "whiny." Sure, I'll shut up about them. Sorry for being such a bother. |
wstüssyb 25.06.2005 21:45 |
I don't think I evern seen her say "whine" about no Doubt, whats wrong with her giving her favorite ( I guess) band support? Please don't be a sourpuss, there are enough things here to bitch about, not about how some one likes another band. |
Maz 25.06.2005 21:54 |
Jeez, Caspar, it's not like you ever beat a dead horse. I figure Amanda has as much right to talk about No Doubt here as you do to flame President Bush. We never grow tired of that, really. And to get back to Miss James' original comment of ''neither,'' I'll have to agree with that. |
OgreBattleField1980 26.06.2005 00:11 |
I think both of them are of even keel till you go thru all of Stevies work with Mac , if it wasnt for Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks .. Pat Benetar might have acctually had a victory here. |

And to get back to Miss James' original comment of ''neither,'' I'll have to agree with that. How often do I flame Bush? Once a week? Definately not more than that, bud. And I'm afraid I've NEVER read a music-related topic in which Miss James posted where she DIDN'T mention No Doubt. Way I see this thread, Miss James made a simple comment, you attacked her, and she was rightfully annoyed. There are bigger things in life to worry about, Caspar, than her choice of music. Now, if she were a big Captain and Tennille fan, I'd say your venom was justified. And I should be irritated by the ''bud'' comment, but I find it fairly amusing coming from you. You obviously don't know me that well. |
The King Of Rhye 27.06.2005 05:12 |
I do like Pat Benetar, and she wins in the looks department.....but..........I just cant deny Stevie Nicks......that VOICE! It just has an effect on me :) |
