I was just wondering...when you get stuck in a bidding war on eBay or something and you lose, do you feel a bit down? Like you've failed in some way?
I just lost something I was bidding on for my mum and although neither of us cared particularly I'm just a little annoyed about it. Then again, I had had my bid on it for a few days and this person only started bidding in the last 10 minutes...grrr.
It's not even like I use it that much.
Does this happen to anyone else?
Yes, I feel greatly pissed, and I wanna fuck up whomever I lost to, Stupid sonofabitch fucking bidding against me!
Few times I have won a auction and the seller said no, becuase he didnt get enough (Magic tour Guide, that only 5 people had, tells list of hotels and places, and the SCHD. for all the band memebers) which was autographed from RT, as it was his personal copy.

I'm guilty of not bidding until the last minute of the auction. I used to bid right as soon as I saw something I wanted but quickly picked up what you need to do if you really want something off ebay. It's snakey to do, but if you want it, you gotta do what you gotta do.
Yeah, I've felt that.
Can't remember what over. Probably more than once. I know I was outbid on a News of the World songbook, but I didn't care that much cause I won the A Day at the Races one (my favorite album with my favorite song on it). Was too pleased in being able to finally check my ear training and what was actually written *for the most part, sometimes they don't put alllll the music of a song on the pages* with You Take My Breath Away.
What really sucks is if you loose what you bought off your jacket maybe in some parking lot and will have to order an entire lot of your last bidding to gain back the lost item. :S
Ebay wants you to get mad and bid more. It's part of their racket. How else do you explain some of the crap that sells for twice its value?
And yes, I've felt much the same way.
Me and mum lost the second thing we were bidding on right after that to the same person. We knew she'd oubid us cause she obviously really wanted the item so we kept putting big autobids on to push the price up so she'd have to pay more. It was our punishment. And I feel much, much better now.
It was cool >:-)

Its the oldest trick on Ebay, the last minute bidder is. That and the one where the seller has "suddenly found" an extra copy of that rare CD you were bidding on and didnt win and who then gets in contact with you to tell you that.
Me, I personally dont bother if I dont win an item or not.

I am much the same dragonzflame. I gave up ebay a couple of years ago due to the fact that I didn't have much money to spend, but recently I have gone back. I am trying to not go crazy, tho...lol
