Thought some of you may be interested in the news:
"QUEEN guitarist Brian May will be Alice Cooper's special guest on Cooper's radio show "Nights with Alice Cooper" on Thursday, June 23. The program is a classic-rock format and is nationally syndicated on the United Stations network. Air times differ, so make sure to check out NightsWithAliceCooper.com for more information.
Sounds like a great show and I am sure they will discuss the upcoming release and American tour dates.
Thanks for the info! It sucks cause I can't pick up the closest stations that broadcast this program...anybody want to provide a brief overview of the important bits of information after it's aired?
Thanks for the info-I can't pick it up here in Milwaukee either. Maybe one of the stations over does live webcasting?? Do we know if it is a live interview or taped??
Curious what Brian will say and tease us with this time?? HAHA
I don't suppose anyone out there would be willing to record this and share it with those of us who can't pick up the station? I for one would REALLY appreciate it.
There's a big long list of stations on that website that will carry the interview. Surely some enterprising, young QZer could find one of those stations that broadcast online.
If not, then Dan can do it.
I would love to hear that as well if anyone can post it.
Brian seems so cool and down to earth..hanging out with Mr. Shock Rock "Welcome To My Nightmare" Alice Cooper, plus when Brian did Howard Stern.
Now that is also something I would love to hear. I can just imagine what Howard must have asked him. HMMMMMMM
Wonder what Alice will ask him? HMMMMMMM
Well, we got 5 days. I'm sure us Americans can figure out how to record it somehow.
Judging by the schedule on Cooper's site, I bet this interview was recorded some time ago.
Just wanted to let you know that I am listening to Alice Cooper Nights right now on WCSX via the web. It's 12:28 am Wednesday morning, so you should be able to listen Thursday night. Alice's show runs from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am Detroit time, which, I think is Eastern time, but you might want to check and be sure.

Bandwidth requirements are a greater-than 32kbps connection and Windows Media Player. There's a help link w/tech details at this address: link
Cheers!

All right, I'm here to beg. If ANYONE can record this and share it with the rest of us, It would be MUCH appreciated. I am on linux and none of the stations that play it play on linux. My brother tried everything he knows about getting audio to run on linux and couldn't. So, I beg.

I am going to record it. I will try and get it online tomorrow. God willing (and if my PC does not crap out)
The transcript for Part 1 of this interview is on Brian's website.
But, considering he is a close friend of Alice's, Brian's answers are a bit...off, not like he was into this interview at all.
One word answers for the most part that you would think like John Deacon used to do in interviews, but certainly never like Brian does,
...Brian just answers, for the most part, saying over and over these answers....
''cool'', ''yeah'', ''really'', ''yes'', ''no'', ''mmm''.
...and a few short brief 1 sentence answers.
What is up with this?
It was a pretty lame "interview" just two friends chatting with alice doing most of the chatting and brian agreeing to his comments. No mention of tour until after brian was on. Very disappointing. There is a download on brianmay.com
I just listened to the entire thing.
Alice does do most of the talking...about himself, and his own tastes. He rarely asks Brian questions and when Brian TRIES to say anything...
...Alice KEEPS Cutting Brian Off and I swear I thought I could hear Brian sort of sigh or ''hmph'' under his breath a few times when Alice would cut him off, as it was an exercise in futility for Brian to get a word in edgewise.

This interview was conducted via satellite with a slight time delay. That would account for the talking over one another. Watch professional broadcasters and you can tell how they have trained themselves to wait, even though it is an awkward 1-2 seconds of silence. Cooper just seemed like he needs to learn that.
