Has anyone else read any of Hesse's books? (Brian' favorite author.) I've read several, and I find it almost eerie how the notion of the duality of man's nature as manifested in the characters so closely resembles the relationship of Brian and Freddie. One's the thinker/philosopher, the other is the artist. Anyone with me?
That could also describe Brian--the thinker/philosopher and the artist. His mastery of both sides of his brain astounds me (but admittedly, it doesn't take much ;-) and is reminiscent of Hesse as well. Very complex, our Mr. May . . . many layers.
Hey, you're right--it does describe Brian. Never thought of that. Fantastic. Brian is so complex. I'd love to meet him someday and talk to him. Sidebar: Ok, am I the only one, or does anyone else feel kind of like they're on drugs when reading some of Hesse's books?
