Bob Geldof will announce and confirm venues, artists performing, at 3 additonal Live 8 concerts in Tokyo, Toronto, and Johannesberg, on Friday June 17, 2005.
Today Geldof JUST confirmed that Philadelphia, USA will now have Destiny's Child and Linkin Park in the lineup.
Updates are on my blog on the article about Live 8 from 5/31/2005, where I added updated artists as of 6/16/2005 (as well as artists who have dropped out of the lineup, which today was 50 Cent who will NOT be playing Live 8).

He has a residence in the south of France.

The issue was with Canadian content regulations for radio. It had nothing to do with where he was living at the time. The CRTC said it did not have enough Canadian content to meet regulations.
His mother identifies herself as Canadian and has a residence in Victoria B.C.
He identifies himself as a Canadian. He learned his craft in Canada. Sounds like Canadian talent to me. Even if I'm not a fan.

They're should no Live8 for Toronto
As for Scott Mercury's assertions about Canada you are way off.
Canada is a G8 country which is why it is being included.
As far as freeloading and cowardice you might want to actually engage your brain and do some real research before you speak.

I agree completely. The other cities, especially Philadelphia, USA (and I'm from the USA), SUCK!
I always say it, The UK has the best music & artists..they had the best lineup in the 1985 Live Aid..
and again the best lineup in the 2005 Live 8.
