Amazing what you learn if you ask someone!!
I was at my parents' house yesterday. I asked them if they had any old vinyl albums, you know...any Queen by chance??? Well no Queen but my Mother said she has every Beatles album and single released in the USA! I'm sure there are some she doesn't know about but she claims to have bought every single one she could get her hands on. She is no collector, she just simply loved the Beatles. I asked her if I could see them. My Dad jumped in and said, "you can see them when we are dead."
If I know my Mother, and I know my Mother, they are in better than mint condition. I'm sure they've been played over and over but I'd bet my life there isn't one blemish on the records or sleeves. You should see her Barbies from when she was a child.
She's also got some sort of beetle jewelry pin collection. They look like real beetles (the bugs) but they each have a different semi-precious stone in them. For example, one is jade, one is opal, etc. They are the pins that you poke through say, your shirt collar and the backing pushes on like an earring almost. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Are these pins something that actually were Beatle related or just a fad back then that maybe teens bought bc they were beetles and the Beatles were so popular???
I'm curious about this now.
My dad has about over 100,000 USD in beatles stuff, he has been collecting it since they came out, since were the same age lisser, our parents should be as well, go figure..he has about 600 Beatle LP's sitting at my house( since my house has so much free space)
A collection of vintage Beatle singles is definitely worth a fortune.
Yet, if you're really a fan, I guess the sentimental value of owning all those singles is far bigger than it's economic value.

Want for me to take em out boss?
make it look like accident...
Wow, that is so awesome!!! I was very happy when I found out that my mum had an old Queen News Of The World LP. But, unfortunately, that was all she had for Queen. However, it was still a nice find. :)
I'll probably sneak over their house one day when they are gone or on vacation and go snooping!! I'll take some pics if I find anything!!! You guys have no clue what their basement looks like!! Let's just say 35 years of marriage and pack rats ok?
I can't wait to snoop!!!!
I doubt my mom has any trading cards or anything. She probably just wanted the music to listen to. She doesn't collect anything that I'm aware of but she loves the Beatles!!!
Lol Lisser, snooping rocks!! I remember when my grandparents went on vacation. My dad took my bro and I to their house and we went snooping upstairs in the secret storage area. We found a box CHUCK FULL of comics that used to cost 5 cents a piece that are now probably worth so much. There were quit a few spiderman ones. We kept a few, but my dad made us bring the box back just incase they might notice that is was missing when they returned. hehe
Check to see if she has the 'Yesterday and Today' one with the infamous 'butcher' cover. Those are apparently worth a bit.
All my parents have is some scuffy, scratched stuff that nobody's ever heard of. They don't go mad for collecting things, pity.
Tell your folks I'll give 'em six quid for the lot. I'm not much of a fan, so I'll probably use 'em as frisbees.
This may displease them somewhat, but to win 'em round, tell them that Flashy said their daughter is absolutely priceless. ;-)

Awww!! That would please my mom but if you said that to my dad, he'd scalp you!!!! He's not nice!!! He's kind of like that Shrek guy!!!
;)
my dad does have that butcher cover, 3 to be exact, one is autographed by all 4, sadly he has that at his house.
I do remember when he bought one when I was 13( cuz I was hit by a car the week before that record fare) and Remember he paid like 300 usd and said that was cheap, that was in like 1988/1989 something like that.
