Wow, I never thought I'd see that! It's really great that the four of them managed to put their egos and everything that's gone on aside to play. I can't wait to watch it!
Even IF it were old news, it was the first I had heard of it, it was more or less JUST posted on CNN which is where I get most of my news...
they said 1981 was the last time these guys toured as a whole.. I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope they can manage to put their differences aside and do a world tour after this... I would go see them in a HEARTBEAT!
I had a room mate that was a HUGE Floyd fan.. I mean this guy thought David Gilmore was a better guitar player than Brian May... of course now I am beginning to think he was....

and i would be inclined to agree with you
Close run thing. Both exceptionally talented guitarists but techically Gilmore may just have the Edge. Talking of The Edge.
Battle of the guitarists Gilmore Vs The Edge. Place your bets.
Now back to the subject, I was in DEEP SHOCK!!
I mean, it was kinda of a shock to hear about Pink Floyd reuniting with Gilmour, Mason, and Wright after Dave Gilmour himself said that he doesn't see Pink Floyd likely to re-unite even with 3 of the original members.
But Pink Floyd reuniting with Roger Waters?? Holy shit, that's just hard to believe.
Now I'm starting to think these could be possible...
- Axl re-uniting with the original Guns N' Roses members
- Van Halen re-uniting with David Lee Roth
- John Deacon coming out of his underground hole to play bass for Queen.
