OK, it's my first torrent file posted here. I hope everything works fine.
Type: .mpg video file
Size: 216 mb
Length: approx. 22 minutes
Quality: Bad-average
downloaded from e-mule.
Tell me if something goes wrong.
Nice this is a quite rare video.
22 minutes, silent footage.
Setlist:
Tie Your Mother Down
Somebody To Love
The Prophet's Song
White Man
Bohemian Rhapsody
Now I'm Here
In The Lap Of The Gods... Revisited
Although I think this isn't the best quality available, I wanna thank you.
First off, this footage isn't rare at all. Many collectors have had it on VHS for years.
Second, this isn't 22 minutes of footage. It's 12 minutes of footage, and the last 10 minutes are a repeat in worse quality.
Third, hopefully good news for many: I've decided to synch the proper audio to this video so it can be much more enjoyable. Here is the actual tracklisting:
Tie Your Mother Down (:05, audio from Maryland 2-4-77)
Ogre Battle (1:55)
Somebody To Love (:16)
Killer Queen (:22)
You're My Best Friend (:38)
Bring Back That Leroy Brown (:08)
Speech (:09)
Brighton Rock (:20)
White Man (2:29)
The Prophet's Song (1:13)
Bohemian Rhapsody (:44, audio from Seattle 3-13-77)
Stone Cold Crazy (:21, audio from NY 2-5-77)
Liar (:07, audio from Seattle 3-13-77)
In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited (1:13, audio from Seattle 3-13-77)
Now I'm Here (1:56, audio from Seattle 3-13-77)
Since the LA audio recording is only an hour long, I had to piece in audio from other shows of the tour. There are also a couple places where I couldn't synch the audio perfectly, because the video was intentionally made to play back very slowly (small bits in Brighton Rock and Now I'm Here). Other than that, I did my best to create a document of this concert with the best audio possible. From this tour, there isn't too much to choose from, so the Maryland and NY clips are unfortunately the best we have for TYMD and STC.
It's been a lot of fun. Lucky for me, the video ran (mostly) in the order of the concert, so that made it easier to pick out which song the band were playing. The difficult part initially was to figure out which part of the song they were playing. It was trial and error from there.
I'm almost finished; I still have a bit of Now I'm Here to do. When I'm done, I will send it off to some fellow collectors, and in the end hopefully it will be seeded here for everyone to enjoy. It will be svcd (mpeg-2), so that's about 225 Mb for 12 minutes of footage.
Maybe I'll do the same for the silent Buffalo 78 and Rotterdam 79 videos, but that'll be a long way into the future.
