What's going on with this torrent? Four days seems somewhat excessive. |
djshadow 12.06.2005 19:27 |
Tummell - it's been split - original seeder has done this for their own reasons. Now i am stuck at 83.7% along with a dozen others. how quick they to finish and not let a few with slower d/l finish. anyone care to seed? dj :-) |

djaef 13.06.2005 00:35 |
I can't get anything from the tracker. I can't see if there are seeds or not, but I've been stranded on 83.9% for days... |

Relax - Fairy Feller has uploaded two sections, we just need the third. He'll get there in time, and then w'll see how many of those calling for seeds do any seeding themselve..... |

I'm stuck also |

Maybe Fairy Fellers is sleeping :) As for your second comment, I'd love to suggest your cynicism is unjustified, but you are more than likely on the money... |

When I said sections, I meant sections of time seeding, not a sectored torrent. |
Mayboy 13.06.2005 13:24 |
Thanks for this! :) |
tummell 13.06.2005 14:08 |
Is it being seeded on dialup? |
Fairy Fellers 13.06.2005 15:24 |
This is my last uploaded torrent because I have slower internet connection (now only 128 kbps) and my torrents upload speed is 5-10 kbps. |
Penetration_Guru 13.06.2005 15:44 |
Thanks for taking the time to complete it, when it eventually happnes. Don't worry about the complaints. |

If you want a hand uploading I'd be happy to help out. |
scprof 13.06.2005 17:05 |
Fairy Feller, there is only 14% to go so PLEASE don't give up. As soon as you have uploaded 100% don't worry as there will be plenty of us to keep seeding. Nobody else has got it to 100% yet. |
Birdie 13.06.2005 21:21 |
I wish to apologized . I thought other people were loading 100% and not seeding. Keep up the good work and thank you again. |
Jekaling 14.06.2005 00:37 |
I got 86,9% Please continue .... |

djaef 15.06.2005 05:13 |
I'm still on the old one and have just crept passed 99.08%.... |
djaef 09.07.2005 04:32 |
I've just done a frequency and spectrum analysis of several songs from this download, and it looks to me like it was mp3 sourced (I am no expert, but it really dips around 16,000Hz.) It's the last thing I'd expect from fairy fellars as well, so can anyone who downloaded this check as well and see if you agree. I'm certainly not accusing anyone of anything, but I really like to keep the trading pool clean and I don't want to unwittingly trade something that's not kosher. |
Fairy Fellers 09.07.2005 04:36 |
I think You're too clever. |

Fairy Feller that is very nice to you to share this one. Unfortunately it seems to me that this concert is mp3-sourced. I'm sure you didn't know that but i've just checked and it seems that Djaef is right. link |
djaef 10.07.2005 08:52 |
So no one gives a shit? What sort of trading community do we have here? Or is it just because it's Sunday, and everyone's in Church? ;) |

djaef wrote: I've just done a frequency and spectrum analysis of several songs from this download, and it looks to me like it was mp3 sourced (I am no expert, but it really dips around 16,000Hz.)Sorry for responding so late... :P Without commenting anything on the respectability of any traders (which I know nothing about), I can at least say that your frequency analysis doesn't really prove anything. Most of these Queen shows were literally taped, and the frequency range of standard cassette tape is between 20 - 20,000 Hertz at best (and significantly lower on average equipment). Not to mention that since we don't know the original microphone used for taping, we have no way of knowing which frequencies were omitted originally. I'm no expert myself, but if there was no 16-44,1kHz frequency range to begin with, how could there be one on the cd either? Some people might even claim that it's closer to the original recording, because the upper frequencies haven't been distorted... If the recording was from the 90's and had a digital source, you would definitely have a point with the analysis. :/ |
Roy ® 11.07.2005 08:09 |
so there isn´t really an possibilaty to check it. |
tilomagnet 11.07.2005 11:02 |
Tero wrote:What you said about the mics most of these concerts were taped with is correct, but this doesn't have anything to do actually with the spectral view of the digitalized files. When you digitalize a tape on 44.1 khz(normal for an audio disc) you'll get a continous spectral line of the file from 0 to 44.1 khz with no cuts in between, even though even today's mics only have a frequency response up to 20khz maximum and all the higher frequencies aren't actually recorded, but nevertheless they are shown in the spectral view.djaef wrote: I've just done a frequency and spectrum analysis of several songs from this download, and it looks to me like it was mp3 sourced (I am no expert, but it really dips around 16,000Hz.)Without commenting anything on the respectability of any traders (which I know nothing about), I can at least say that your frequency analysis doesn't really prove anything. To me the spectral analysis posted here shows clearly a mp3 file. I've done such analysises with many shows and this is very typical for mp3s. |

I just got home, and ran a few examples to see what the analyses look like. The cd, cassette, vinyl and (early 140MB) minidisc recordings had a continuous line, while the mp3 sources had a more or less pronounced dip. (Around 16kHz as you mentioned, except the 320kbit/s file, which had a "normal" line until 19kHz.) |
tilomagnet 11.07.2005 14:10 |
No problem :-) I've to admit that sometimes it's hard for me to distinguish a minidisc source or a badly transfered very quiet recording from a high bitrate mp3 source, but as I said it's very typical that mp3 sources dip very abruptly and you can suspect that the original wave file had a continuous spectral line originally. |
