Sonofabitch it's so hot today, 93 degress, I'm sure that 30-something in C. My pillow's were wet..not becuase of what you are thinking, but my hair is soaked from sweating! and I didnt even get any! how sad that sounds, but it's the truth. To make matters worse my AC is worthless in this house, becuase the house is too big, I can only use it in one room.../cry |

lol a friend of mine complained about the heat too. She's in NY now with 2 friends and they say it's just TOO hot there... it's cold in Holland :( |

I'm in Maryland USA & it's 98 degrees with a code red (worst air pollution code) in effect. The house I rent at is like an oven! Even my car's air conditioning can barely fight this and it's a new car. |

Ohio here, and its 91 today, been around 90 since Sunday. Our air conditioning was broken until yesterday afternoon, thank God the guy came out to fix it! |

We've been getting high 80/low 90 degree days in Massachusetts, as well. My fan does a fine job at night (my bed is next to my desk and my fan is just a table-top..but it blows right on my face and it feels so good). I love this weather..except school is even more of a torture now. Five of the seven different class rooms I go in are unbareably hot, and since we need to wear uniforms, we must follow dress code or get detentions and that doesn't help out at all. I thought I was going to pass out in science and English today it was so hot. And, I've had a headache since lunch (still got it now) and that made the heated classrooms even worse. AND, in writing lab, the room reeked of B.O. I thought I was going to die then, too. I just can't wait for the last week and a half of school to pass by. |

I live right by the lake so I have a great breeze throughout the house. I almost never use A/C. Maybe once or twice in the summer. Also, the lower level of our house is always cool. |
Victoria 08.06.2005 16:33 |
A Friday or two ago, we had upper 90s. This was when I went out to the beach/bay and got tan for an hour with my cousin. Was great. Not too hot (nice breeze as well), so we had it nice for a week. What a fluke! Now we're back to normal on rainy, cloudy, sunny, and the occasional downpour (almost had a monsoon yesterday. Little rivers formed down the sides of the streets and summited up to the level of the sidewalks in some areas. That's a good three or four inches. Good thing it only lasted for half an hour or so). |

Again, I line in Maryland , USA and we usually don't get weather like this (unless it;s like one freak day), until late July to August. The dog days. It's been nearly 100 degrees with 100% humidity with a code red (worst air pollution) in effect since Sunday..a whole week now. Now we are having rolling blacouts and brownouts because thew electric company can't handle everyone using their air conditioners this long, and this early in the year. I went out for dinner last night and the restaurant had ALL their power off except the stoves to cook and their emergency lights. Their doors were propped open..as they lsot the electric to their air conditioning. I'm melting......... |

Today the heat has also finally gotten to me. I can't stand it and the misquitos make it so much worse. I am covered from arms to legs in bites and I'm sweating and sticking to chairs and scratching like crazy. I wore my sandals today and they literally dug a hole in my foot and it started to bleed quite a bit all over and it killed. So I took my shoes off and walked barefoot home. The pavement burnt my feet and that also hurt so bad. Argh. Not to mention it makes everyone cranky to be in this kind of weather. |
