He never really moves much except on Live at Wembley he makes a few embarissing head movements. Especially on Under Pressure and Another One Bites The Dust. Check it out!

The 'gay run' on the footage from the first night at Wembley stadium (see disc 2 of the DVD release. Right at the end of the show) was pretty energetic!! Also, has anyone noticed on the Live in Budapest video release during One Vision (I think), John does some crazy foot moving/side step thing. Bloody priceless!! Has anyone else noticed this or was I imagining things?

So is it appropriate to say, as far as Mr. Deacon was concerned, that there was, ACTION THIS DAY
Live Aid 1985
Wembley 1986
Hmmm . . . must have been something about July, the heat, and Wembley Stadium . . . a perfect storm of sorts, and I'm damned glad of it. And an ACTION THIS DAY for me will be to check the 1986 DVD for the "run" of which you speak!
I noticed stuff on the live at wembly thing, in crazy little thing, everone is clapping and he starts to wave his arms like hes trying to swat a fly. In friends will be friends he spins round on one foot while playing a high note on his bass this is so funny.
He was pretty static in the Freddie mercury tribute concert exept when he turned to a cammara thats filming him from off stage and gives a mild mannered john deacon grin right down the lense lol!! You dont get talent like that anymore lol!!
Even for the photos of the Wembley 86 CD, John is actually POSING and SMILING big time for the camera.
(He must have gotten lucky that night) just kidding.
But I think Wembley 86 and Live Aid...for John...was about the most enthused and (for him) animated and emotional, trying to perform and not just stand like a drone, playing his bass, that I've ever seen him.
can't beat Deaky 'Bopping out' during Hammer to Fall at Live Aid. He shakes his head, does he shaking of the bass, and dnaces on one foot all at the same time
Check it out!

On Greatest Hits video 2 dvd, in A Miracle where the little kids are imitating Queen, the one that does John is adorable. I thought John didn't move much while playing, but that little kid captured his head and neck movements perfectly, and proved me wrong! Overall I think John's subdued manner on stage made Freddie's poncing about look even more flamboyant.
As I recall, John got a little jiggy wit'
Gary Cherone durning "Hammer to Fall" at the Freddie Tribute. They're both up on the riser in front of Roger about midway through the song. John was relatively energetic . . .
