Can anyone give me some more details about this videorecording.I've only seen Teo torriate and I think it's better than the version from the on fire dvd altough I read somewhere that freddie was in bad voice at this gig.I tought it wasn't that bad at all.what about the other songs?
You mean 24.04.1979? According to QueenConcerts: 23 minutes (We Will Rock You, Let Me Entertain You, Killer Queen, Bicycle Race, I'm In Love With My Car, Teo Torriatte, Keep Yourself Alive, Don't Stop Me Now, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions). Broadcasted on TV.
yeah,I've read that too on queenconcerts but my question is:what do you(the one's that have seen all these songs)think about their performance, especially freddie's voice

Freddie´s voice is indeed in quite poor shape, but IMO this doesn´t really matter a lot, because the overall performance is just great and compared to other videos available from the Live Killers/Jazz tour the quality is very good. It´s a really enjoyable video and especially IILWMC is great. And it´s 33 min. long, not 23 by the way.

Indeed Freddies voice is in poor shape, but its very enjoyable. I've got it on DVD at it is worth watching. The performance is great.
Yeah, despite Freddies voice being shredded it's a really enjoyable half hour of live killers footage and certainly the best quality I've come across from that period(Hammy 79's a close second)
The full show must have been filmed, I wonder if it will ever see the light of day.
Great video and performance. Fred's voice WAS in terrible shape then but again he always had some problems with it. It was also the end of the JAZZ tour which was a hell of a long one.

I really hope it does. I havent seen anything from Live Killers.
I think it was 25th? April in '79. I have its DVD and sometimes I enjoy it. And especially I like the way he sings "Teo Toriatte" despite his condition of that day which was far from his best. I have the Japanese magazine which features some interviews of Queen members. Of course it includes some Freddie's. He was interviewed on 29th April 1979 , saying he had trouble with his voice condition ( I think it was due to the tight and hard works of the Jazz tour and Live Killers recording ) and besides he was getting cold badly. But inspite of his physical trouble, I like his performances of that day because I can feel his warm heart so much and I can also feel his warm rapport with the audience. I wish I had been there...It seems more as if he poured all his heart into every word, although I think he always did so...He looks wilder almost during the Jazz tour otoh, imo in Japan 1979 he looks kind of softer and warmer than other Jazz concerts...anyway I love both...
Even though Freddie's range was poor on that night, the rest of the band were top notch. I love this DVD.
It's 32 minutes, not 23. Amazing how far people can take a typo.

Yes this concert is great, even with Freddie's voice. It's most noticable in Don't Stop Me Now, when Roger takes over the lead vocal for a couple of lines. But for the first few songs that are featured, Freddie's voice is ok. Killer Queen is amazing, you can really hear Brian's voice on the chorus!
